Owen even dressed up, and we didn’t have to tell him either.

Definitely no computer.  Had a flip phone.

She didn't trust anyone.    We tried to give her estate planning info or schedule for her to meet with a professional but always refused.

We tried to tell her how to set up accounts to avoid having Estate pay inheritance tax, but nope wouldn't listen to anyone.

I'm was thankful how well prepared my parents were with everything.

That's too bad Debbie. It is going to make everything more difficult. After I posted, I wondered if it might be more common out here, that most older people have computers or at least smart phones. My mom was almost 90. She wouldn't do email, after she acquired a virus, but at least she had a computer and online banking.

We then went home for an hour and I’m now at the arena until 10:50. As for the drive, how’s this for you. Only 4/5 more months of this to go.

@John&LaLa or anyone else who has sailed on Odyssey. Is The Book the only show that you can make reservations for? Pre-cruise reservations for entertainment opened today but that is the only show available. I am used to O class where multiple shows can be reserved.

That's how it was in January. Have fun

It's common in our area too.  About 10 yrs ago we were getting rid of our desktop for laptops and tablets.  I took desktop for her to learn.  I tried to teach her but she just didn't absorb how to use it so after a year of trying with no luck we disposed the computer.

Eric's Brother bought her a smart phone and tried to teach her but no luck she liked her flip phone.

As the saying goes "Cannot teach an old dog new tricks"

Both my parents used computer and smart phone.  My Dad loved being able to check out his stocks online.

We will just have to wait and see what bank statements come in the mail in the next month or so since some may be quarterly.

We still prefer not to plan ahead but I do book when necessary just incase.

The problem is with not being able to plan ahead, you really need to do it as soon as you can connect the Royal app with the ship wifi system.  You need to be aware of your dining plans and port times etc.  It is much easier to do it weeks a head of time.

I agree!   Entertainment became available for my 1/7/2023 harmony cruise and I am now ready to work in my specialty dinner plans.   Much prefer to do so before cruising rather than rush as soon as we get on the ship.

All of ours are Toto’s.

Out master toilet is the Toto like yours. You forgot to mention, that when it raises as you approach and spritzes itself, it also had a low glowing light which is nice at night. Just in case you need to find the seat before you sit, or want to know where to aim at. It’s no longer a black hole. 😆

They are also a few inches higher than a traditional toilet. We were told this when we were buying, as it gives your body a better position/angle for dropping the kids off at the pool. I have not really noticed an advantage and I certainly haven’t asked Lisa if things are easier now. Even after almost 20 years of togetherness some topics are skirted around.

I will say on our cruise in October finding the toilet in the dark was a small challenge. 🫣

Don't forget your Squatty Potty.
