Temperature dropped about 30 degrees.  Where as yesterday was sunny and 78, today is rainy and 48.  Figured I'd be able to catch up on SeaDogs live review as I'm currently 10 pages behind but then started to watch NetFlix show "Bodies". Very interesting premise & I'm hooked.

I'll set my alarm for an hour earlier tomorrow to catch up on the Live Review. 😀

What is "Bodies" about?

I'm lucky in that I caught it right away. As soon as the tell-tale bulls eye rash appeared - which only happens in 40%-50% of the cases I'm told - I went to the doctor and he put me on antibiotics right away while awaiting the results of the blood test which took 3 days. A second blood test was taken & both  confirmed I had Lyme disease.  By then I had a 6 day head start on antibiotics so I was able to "nip it in the bud" so to speak.  From what I understand, the earlier you can treat it, the better the chances of full recovery. Which was my case. The only "symptom" I had was the rash, I never had any of the other physical ailments such as joint pain, fever, etc.

Like I said, I was lucky. In your friends fathers case, he may have been infected for weeks or months and by then sadly,  he had already developed the long term, hard to treat effects. If he never had th rash, mostly likely he thought he had the flu as the symptoms are so similair.  The deer tick are spread not just be deer but by mouse, chipmunks, any small rodents as well as birds.  Probably how they made their way down to the Bronx.

So lucky it was caught in time!  My friend's father was diagnosed at first with arthritis.  His neighbor told him to ask his doctor to test for Lyme Disease. You're right about him taking too long to be diagnosed correctly. He sadly was diagnosed it too late to get pain relief.

The kittens are getting big.  6 weeks old now.  They will go to their forever homes in 6 more weeks.

Playing catch up and I squealed when I saw these.  They are precious, but then, I am a cat lover.  Thank you for the pictures.  Please scratch them all under the chin for me.

I’ve wanted to visit Bok Tower Gardens since I moved to FL, and today I finally did! https://boktowergardens.org

For those who didn’t follow my Turkey blog, Nate and I are getting a divorce. I have moved into my own place as of this week, and my sister and I decided to get together with our dogs and walk the gardens. She lives in Orlando so it was an hour drive for her and two hour drive for me.

I am so sorry to hear this.  But, having been there, done that, I hope it is for the best.  Stay strong, you will be fine.  It may take some time for you to realize it, but you will be fine.

@singinalot Crystal, so sorry you are going through a difficult time.  Even if it is for the best I’m sure it’s a rough time.  But from your posts here you have so much joie de vivre that I cannot but think there is another interesting chapter (or more!) ahead for you.

+ 1 @singinalot Crystal.

(I'll have what Marian (aka @helen haywood) had  😉)

Bodies is about a murder and 4 different detectives trying to solve the crime between 1890 and 2053.

@Luckynana Just to add to Lenny post, it's the same murder that takes place in 4 different time periods - 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053.  Very well done, I've watched 4 of the 8 episodes yesterday.

Think of its a a crime drama first with some sci-fi time jumping thrown in, with a bit of political thriller on the side.

You mentioned on your Turkey blog that you are planning your next big adventure. Hope it 's going well  as it'll give you something to look forward to during this transition time and also gives all of your CC friends something to look forward to as well. 🙂👍

We have another cold, rainy day today.  Yesterday was the final football game for the PeeWee team our granddaughter cheers for.  Raincoats and gloves were the outfits of the day.

Their team went undefeated again this season, and they managed a win in this championship game with a score of 6-0. We were all soaked after this game that will billed as the Super Bowl.  Even the cheerleaders received Super Bowl medals.

Last night when we pulled into the garage we stayed in it…discussing how we could rearrange some stuff in order to have better room for the two Tahoes.  It’s called a “three car garage” but you could only get (maybe) three golf carts in it.  We’ve been switching cars and only garaging one.  But when Hurricane Idalia came through we realized we could squeeze both in…carefully.

We weren’t yelling or using raised voices…but we were having the usual marital conversation about how the junk, er, I mean useful cardboard boxes, old light fixtures, multiple ladders, etc could be better consolidated…when we heard this loud banging noise coming from inside our house.  What on earth?!?!

It was Minnie trying to get to us.  Hard to scold someone so devoted.  ❤️
