Shortbread is better and tastier than crackers. But very different than here. Hmm. Thanks. Interesting. :classic_biggrin: The biscuit thing seems to be very different in other countries.

The reason I asked, was that "bread in a tube" has been unavailable for weeks. We usually buy their French bread loaves, Crescent Roll sheets and the Grand layered biscuits. They are really good, easy and come in small cans of 5 for both of us.

So, then we started talking about biscuits in other countries. I didn't want to monopolize the conversation, but I was curious.

I don’t think there’s a way for anyone to monopolize a conversation in this group!

We all put in our two cents, go off on tangents, and in general, keep things lively!

Christmas day lunch.

Among our many presents from our Sarah was a memory tree decoration with several loving messages inside.

A memory tree decoration is a lovely thought!

After a long lifetime of Christmases, I give a thought every Christmas Eve to who isn’t with us to sing.
We sing Silent Night and then Stille Nacht at the end in memory of my mother.

I want to thank ALL who posted their trees and Christmas decorations. It is so beautiful and uplifting, all the love and time invested in those. A feast to the eyes.

Thanks for letting us know the name of your hotel. I checked it out. It is lovely! Big detour for us but always good to know if were to take 81.
We usually drive down I 95 and stop in Florence.

Plus, you would get to drive by Jimbo's house. exit 89B on I81 Southbound   🙂

Merry Christmas to all!

We celebrated Christmas Day a couple of days ago, and I really like having a day with nothing to do! Tonight’s menu will be appetizers. We did 2 turkeys because they were really tiny this year, but they have all been eaten.

I have enjoyed looking at your trees and hearing about your families- I am very sorry for those who have had COVID related cancellations of family activities.

Merry Christmas all.  Even though our holiday was slimmed down we were about to celebrate last night with my MIL and a few other family members.  Quiet day for us today, hoping next year things will be back to normal for all of us.  Adding our tree, quite a few of our ornaments are from our travels, the rest primarily kids and grandkids.  Brings back a lot of great memories.

We were able to celebrate Christmas and open gifts on Christmas Eve. This morning the grand dogs and “The Cat” are once again best enemies. So the cat took refuge under the tree behind the nativity. Gotta love them.

It is a clear glass bauble to hang on to our Christmas tree.

Sarah wrote several loving messages on paper which you can see in the picture and put them inside the memory ornament.
