Finally getting caught up, here and in general. We arrived home around 10 pm Saturday night.  It was nice to have a short visit with our oldest and our 3 grandsons, then we had our 2 granddaughters from Sunday morning until Monday afternoon. We had offered to do that because their Mom & Dad needed a break after the 3 girls had Covid at the same time. Turns out it was a good thing SIL had it back in January so he could care for them.  Then my youngest calls today to tell me she tested positive this morning! The wrinkle there is she had gone to visit her oldest sister in PA for the long weekend, so it seems like now we’ve all been exposed.  Andy woke with cold symptoms this morning, did a rapid test and was negative.   I have no symptoms but also took a rapid test & was negative.  We’ll both test again in a couple of days.  Now just unpacking & getting caught up on laundry.  And I have to start cooking again lol.  It’s not the cooking I mind (I actually love to) it’s the thinking of what to cook.
I will be celebrating National Margarita Day tonight.
@DaniDanielle glad you received good news from the Dr

@Sea Dogadorable picture of the puppies.  Hang in there with your recovery and just think about how good one of those Old Fashioned’s will taste when you can finally enjoy one.
Those with positive tests for yourselves & family members - I wish you mild cases and quick recoveries!

Good luck 👍 on the testing.  I had my covid contact on a Monday, tested every day, all negative until Saturday when it was positive,  so it can 'cook' a while .

Hope you keep getting a negative result

I woke up this morning to 53° weather, and I thought that was not too bad.   But that was at 2 am, and now at 7:30 it is down to 29° with a feels like 20°.

Getting ready to wish my daughter-in-law a happy birthday today.  Just waiting for it to be a little later on the West coast, so my text does not wake her.   She is the first of 6 of us to hit one of those milestone birthdays that end with a zero.   For some reason, she doesn’t like reaching 40!😂😂

Today is my son’s RFA procedure, then they will have him in a back brace for a week.  We are all hoping it gets rid of some of his pain.  He will have to go back for a second one, because they are only doing one half at a time.

Busy day here, so I will catch up later.

We were docked in St Maarten today , but decided just to stay on the ship and listen to a concert by the pool rather than leaving the ship , todays main concert was by a former lead singer of Chicago for 30 years who was excellent,  he said he will join Todd Rundgren and Christofer Cross after this cruise to tour doing mostly Beatles songs , we have front row seats to see that in Dallas in a few weeks.

My wife bought us these disco outfits which we just wear on these cruises

Have you tried alcohol?  (on the keyboard, not down your throat!)

If there's something "gooey" in there, alcohol might wash it away without harming the electronics.

Unless you WANT a whole new computer anyway, you can probably have the keyboard replaced by any electronics repair shop (or high school nerd) pretty cheap.

Is RFA radio-frequency ablation? If it is, Chris has been having it done 3 or 4 times a year, and it’s very successful in managing pain.

Best of luck to your son!

Since I do not want to deal with the main boards, I want to post this question here.

Do you know if there is anyway I can find out my status on benefits from the Casino?  Prime, ect.

We are not going to buy the alcohol package, and just wondered if I get this benefit.

Yes I won money on my last cruise, but do not know if I donated enough.

Thanks ahead of time.

Nate had RFA after our car accident and it really made a difference in pain management

That is good to hear.  We are all hoping for a good outcome.

By the way, I was reading your Mexico review when I saw a link to your 2nd Allure cruise.  I must have missed it since we were sailing a Celebrity ship at the same time.  It was interesting to read about sailing right before the pandemic, then seeing the last few posts as we all realized it was not going to be two weeks to slow the spread.

We are sailing Allure a week from Saturday, so I was getting my pre cruise fix. Looking forward to the ship that escaped the amp.

Yes, go to the casino website clubroyaleoffers.com  enter your last name and crown & anchor number where it asks for reward number.

Will then show total points played.  If you played 1500 points during casino year you will be prime member which gets you free drinks and free bottled water from Casino bar.

My wife has gotten lots of compliments this week on her outfits including from Maria Muldaur , we both got lots of thumbs up yesterday, she works out daily, my workout is mostly lifting glasses of wine and cognac. Glad we waited to leave a little to St Thomas , huge rain storm earlier but sunny now. We were kidding my brother sent him a picture of our disco outfits and told him we will wear that to his daughters wedding this Saturday 😁😁😁.

I’m quietly typing this with the sound off so the cats don’t find out we’re leaving tomorrow (negative tests willing) to sail Saturday on Celebrity Reflection.  I miss the good old days when I could enjoy my happy state of anticipation for a cruise…. I packed yesterday but can’t start looking forward to it until after taking the test tomorrow morning.

They are both adorable. I'm so glad you also got Charlie. He has Old Soul eyes.

Yes Charlie has the most adorable eyes. When he looks at me my heart melts. Even after he has an accident on the floor. He just looks at you and you can’t be mad.

Best wishes for your daughter and a happy birthday. RFA made a huge difference for my wife Linda.

Love had her RFA on her back done last year before our retirement cruise. It made her daily life more tolerable because before she was in so much pain. She says it’s been 6 months ago and she’s at about 70%. Over time the nerve will grow back and she will probably have to have it again. But this procedure is much better than full on back surgery. Wishing your son much success!

Good luck doing that.  I came back from my cruise 10 days ago and was "only" behind about 10 pages by Monday.  I missed yesterday and now I see I am closer to 30 pages.

Well wishes for a successful procedure.  I can not imagine having to deal with constant pain.

@Sea Dog.  I'm thinking by the time I catch up you will be walking 5 miles a day.

And I always thought they ate gum drops while sitting in the old gum tree!

It took days to get that song out of my head after reading your post.

Oh, thank you ever so much for quoting it to remind us all of this earworm all over again......

Hard to believe it’s been two weeks ago today that I had my knee replacement surgery. I think on a whole I’m doing really well.

I’m walking with just a cane and I can even walk without one. Amazing that I can put full weight on my knee and not feel any pain at all.

if I do this well after two weeks I’m looking forward to seeing where I will be at 4 weeks. I’m still dealing with stiffness and soreness and I’m continuing to take pain meds. I hope to be off them in the next or so.

All of my improvement is due to the love and support  from my fantastic wife Linda . The puppies have given me lots of kisses and snuggles too. I couldn’t be more blessed.
