Merry Christmas! As you can imagine I am in full, all out, Christmas mode. Been busy today making food to take to our two celebrations. One in a couple of hours and another tomorrow.

I do want to take time to wish all my friends here on this thread that celebrate a Very Merry Christmas. I've created a little video card for you as I wish you much love and joy this holiday season. Cheers!! Sea Dog or that other guy known as Greg.

So very beautiful. Merry Christmas!

Wishing my friends on this special thread who celebrate, a joyful and safe Christmas. Hope Santa is good to each and every one of you.

Special thoughts go to those who have lost loved ones this year.

Continued Happy Chanukah for those still celebrating our 8 days of potato latkes (pancakes, but not the breakfast kind) and jelly donuts.

Perhaps OB is a devotee of Sorrento’s .Many times when a person states something their intent is just the opposite.

I love jelly donuts . A person who came to the Hanukah party in my house brought a box of jelly donuts from possibly the best Kosher bakery that I know of .The donut was the worst that I have ever eaten.

Wow. That sounds lovely.

It's just me & John this weekend. Tonight we're having brats in kraut, little sizzlers in bbq sauce, cheese, crackers, salami, pickles, raw veggies, etc. while watching Harrison Ford movies and The Sting. It was way too cold to go shopping for anything special.

Tomorrow we'll visit my mom for a bit while they have a short Christmas program.

Everyone have a blessed Christmas or Hanukkah. Looking forward to a peaceful new year - the world deserves it.

I’ve been reading along for the past day but just haven’t had time to comment.
@jagsfan Mimi I’m so sorry about the sudden loss of your brother. May he Rest in Peace.
@Luckynana Sorry to hear of those not feeling well in your family. I hope everyone gets better soon!

Well Christmas Eve dinner & gift opening is done and I’m relaxing with a glass of wine. Okay “another” glass of wine to be exact.  I had big intentions of taking lots of pictures but that went out the window as soon as everyone arrived.  I took a couple beforehand.  The roast heading into the oven, the bar all set up, the Christmas cookies we made & decorated with the kids on Thursday night and our charcuterie board.

Just got a text from PECO our power company asking for all homeowners to conserve energy, if health permits, until 10 am tomorrow.   Sounds like power grid is under stress due to frigid temps.   I have timers set for all our outdoor lights/displays to go off just after midnight.   Have to make sure Santa finds us.  Hopefully no power losses.

I’ve been enjoying all the Christmas Greetings, food photos and videos here.  You have all been very busy and it looks amazing. The blizzard watch is still ongoing.  Our church and almost all in our area have cancelled their Christmas Eve services due to the weather.

Highways are still closed and you may have even seen the news story where close to 100 people slept overnight in a Walmart.  They blew up air mattresses, used new bedding and ate food from the deli.

We pushed our Christmas Eve gathering to tomorrow at noon. I’ll have to blow snow in the morning and see that both grandmas are here. I’ll probably have to drive them over, but they are minutes away. Earlier in the evening we watched Elf, White Christmas and Scrooge is just waking up in his bed on Christmas morning.  Our gifts are out and we are waiting for Santa to arrive sometime tonight.

We wish you all the best from our house. Some of you are following decades of traditions and some of you are making new ones due to the year that has been. No matter the case, happy or reflective, please remember that your loved ones will never be far from your heart.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and big hugs to my CC Family.
Andrew, Lisa and Owen.

Christmas Day in Sydney.

The men of the family arrive at lunch inadvertently wearing the same Country Road shirt.

Long leisurely lunch on the outside deck.  We enjoyed amongst other things; an extensive cheese board, prawns, oysters, freshly baked homemade bread, a variety of salads, ham off the bone followed by a superb trifle and Christmas pudding.

The weather was glorious, a nice sunny day with a pleasant sea breeze.

After our leisurely lunch, we headed to the beach for a

swim in the late afternoon. The water temp was just lovely.5C4559D6-4289-4797-AEE8-CDFC704B4EC3.thumb.jpeg.3676cfd0e6ea44b0d6402d1fb5550346.jpeg
