Any hotel suggestions or things to do ideas?

This website has a lot of good information:

Amelia Island, Florida

If you're into history, the Amelia Island Museum of History is an interesting place to go for a couple of hours:

I love the white fur on her lower lip. She looks like she swallowed a bird! ☺️

A quick weekend update for Owen and his now completed baseball season. It was their local league tourney this weekend.  It started Friday at 8:30pm and we got home last night at 9pm. I thought we would have been knocked out by noon on Saturday.  Then we could start to pack for our cruise September 1st.

They played against 6 other teams. Owen’s team didn’t do well through the regular season of play, finishing second to last but always played well in tournaments. They lost their first game against the 3rd place host team, but from there they just kept winning. Five more games in total, They went on to knock out the 1st, 4th and 5th place teams on the way to become the Champs.  With other teams having 3-5 players more they just kept going.  Just goes to prove the expression right, that anything can happen in baseball.

How it started.

How it ended.

Congratulations to Owen and the Team🎆🎉

Yes, I got the OK to give the boot the boot August 7.  Wasn’t sure what to expect.  Walking 100% weight bearing with the boot starting June 28 was surprisingly painful…so I was expecting no boot to be painful as well.  No, not painful, just stiff and clumsy.  I’d been told ankles took a long time for the swelling to go away…like up to a year…🙀  I can see the swelling has gone down some but I’m saying I see improvement over a three month period.  Slow improvement.

My PT told me yesterday that I probably only needed a couple more weeks of therapy.  That my range of motion and strength were total.  I have balance issues…but I’m not sure I could have stood on one leg and leaned over and touched the floor before the injury!!

So I guess I’ll just be patient and see how long it takes me to be able to walk without a hitch…never mind run.  And to say bye-bye to that cankle!!! 👎. Thank goodness here in Florida 99.9% of my shoes are water shoes with adjustable Velcro straps!!

Thanks for asking.

Our kitty Siam while very friendly is a terror and had to reload the water gun yesterday, he likes to stand in front of our 75inch tv and attack it , Loki is a much more behaved kitten , but they look innocent while sleeping.
