I have.

Ingredients

Cod (usually about 3 pound for 2 people, because it gives off a lot of water when frying)

Canola oil

Flour

Two eggs

2 cans of Bud light.

Rinse  the fish in water pat dry

then take two egg and whipp it

Place fish in and get both sides slimy with the egg.

Completely coat fish with flour.

Chill for about 15 min.

Then get 2 cans of beer.

I use Bud light.

Pour one can in a bowl that the fish will be submerged in.

Let soak about 5 min.

Then once again place flour over the beer fish.

Repeat.

Soak fish in beer

Then put flour over it.

Quick fry in oil of your choice (I use canola oil)

Usually about 9 min.

While fish frying drink the second beer.

Enjoy

I’m going to share this with my son-in-law. He’s a great cook, and can make anything. It’s his relaxation from a high stress job.
He asked my DH what he’d like on the menu next weekend and the answer was fish and chips. I’m not a fish eater, but I love real fish and chips.
Hopefully he’ll like your recipe. With beer included, what’s not to like!

On the dutch island of Aruba, many restaurants will serve fries with both ketchup and mayo on the side.

There is a craft beer pub in the island owned and operated by a couple of Canadian ex-pats that has excellent poutine. Not that I'm an expert having had poutine an handful of times in my life and all were excellent. So take me recommendation with a grain of salt....and gravy. 😃

I love poutine, but it has to be the original from Quebec that’s just fries, curds, and gravy. I get disappointed around here when it’s on a menu but unrecognizable because of additions and subtractions.

Sharon just said that she makes an elevated ketchup. She called it Bloody Mary Ketchup.

It’s ketchup, worcestershire sauce, horseradish, celery salt and a pinch of hot sauce. She said flavour as desired.

That sounds really good.  I’m a big fan of horseradish a Worcestershire.

Honey mustard is a nice change of pace, but nothing beats Heinz ketchup

To this day I can only buy Heinz ketchup and Hellman's mayo.  I'm a ketchup on my fries gal.

French's dijon honey mustard is great for dipping large soft pretzels.

Walking the coastal path today we spotted a cruise ship in the horizon mist. Gary could make out the Union flag on the bow so it must be one of the P&O sailcations

Love Freddy's here in KC. I even get their sauce in the local grocery store. I wish their fries were thicker though. I'm not a fan of skinny fries.

Spent the afternoon in the Napa Valley.  Passed by the “Burnin Bovine” atop the Sonoma Raceway sign.

We passed a place where you could take air tours on vintage aircraft.  Saw bi-planes flying around as we had our lunch. They also had these. I will have to remember this for our next trip out here.

Found some stoned dogs.  You could have a small one of these for around $5,000

Some unique sights from the grounds of the restaurant where we ate.  The lily pond.

Currently England 3 Ukraine 0.👍😃

Only problem I have now is whether to root for England like I usually do or for Denmark.  After the scary loss of Christian Erickson, Denmark has become a sentimental choice.

The skinny fries I eat occasionally.  I can’t eat them to often.  I will have to see if our grocery store carries it.

We are all unpacked, misc tools put away and Eric was going to mow but rain started around 4 pm.  Tomorrow should be better.  We have some family coming over tomorrow around noon for bbq/picnic.

Discovered they are doing parade and fireworks on monday, strange!

With all the foodies on here I have to ask,  has anyone tried Sous Vide cooking?  I started last fall and now I am addicted.

You and John should get along very well. He loves it.

Hell no, gravy and cheese curds here.

Cataract Sharon said mayo and fries supposedly originated from Belgium.  Netherlands likes it too she says.

Some supposedly dip them in their Wendy’s Frosty too.

Maybe it's French Canadian 🤔

Pork Belly. Had to use ziplock bags because while I travel with sous vide, I don't bring the food saver.

Steak & Shake does skinny fries.

Personally I'm a big fan of Chick fil A waffle fries and their ginormous ketchup pkgs
