May I ask what sort of fish Lyle? Looks great, although no tomato sauce for me with fish and chips, tartare sauce, malt vinegar, lemon, fine.

We always order Halibut Les. The tomato sauce is for the chips not the fish. And there is malt vinegar on the fish as well (just a little bit, one of those little take away packs)

This is an example of a Halibut

That is a photo I found on line, I had nothing to do with that catch.

Love halibut Lyle, only place I have had it is on the Princess ships MDR and in a  restaurant in Vancouver post cruise, some years ago.  You would probably get shark here aka Flake.  In UK, I love the Skate fish.

Yep tartare sauce and drown it in vinegar, malt or white will do me, or Lemon.

We are fortunate to live in the part of the world that halibut call home. It's still quite expensive I think about $40.00 a kilo.

About what you pay for Aussie Barramundi here, probably nearer $50.  I buy the frozen Barramundi in Aldi, kilo pack, from Asia somewhere, for about $20 a pack. It is ok, grill it with lemon and butter.

Oh dear where did that Kiwi escape from?  Put him back in the zoo for heavens sake, the Monteiths has affected his brain.   Small country syndrome. How sad.

I must say he is funny, I did not realise he was a comedy act, I like him then. I cracked up when he got a pie from the 'Deery" (Dairy - NZ Corner shop.) Kiwis appear to put cheese in every meat pie. Not a mushy pea to be seen, how sad.

You only like him now because of the pie video.

Initially  I thought he had escaped from the Auckland Nut House, lol.

Whilst on the NZ pie issue, some years ago we did Air NZ, Sydney to San Francisco, so Syd - Auck, it was lamb pie, Auckland - SF, it was roast lamb. Anyway we had a young business woman sitting alongside us in the aircraft, as soon as she saw the menu she went off, B Hell, I fly this route once a month and the B menu never changes, Lamb, lamb and more B Lamb. I cracked up. 😆
