Sorry, it is neither of those events. A lot of alcohol is consumed for this event.

Correct, and these are the best thongs around, still have my pair, very comfortable and has arch support.

My daughter just bought her second pair of rubber thongs with arch support which cost $35.  Seemed a lot for rubber thongs, but she said they were comfortable.

That was my second guess, as I've seen logs on beaches in those areas as well as Canada.

  Thats is the name of the lodge, but don't know about the Ocean Shores part, all i know is it is  Kalaloch Lodge , Olympic National Park, Washington state. Was a cold, windy, rainy day when we where there but walking on the beach, once you climbed your way over the logs, was very enjoyable.I still don't know why they don't get the logs to use they are every where up there.Is is what you had to climb over to get to the beach
