Some blogger reported one one their newer ships is on it's way to the USA. He says he thinks rcl woildnt be sending it if they didnt think cruising was going to start soon. Workers have to take some online courses then refresher in person courses before it can sail, but he thinks they are planning on resuming.

Summer 2021. I was one of those people who thought it was all blown out of proportion and would be over by end of this past summer. Boy was I wrong.

It is going on a lot longer than I think any of us thought it would.

I think there will be test runs / shakedown cruises out of PortMiami or P.C. with crew only possibly in November or December.  As for passengers, think early 2021.  PortMiami has on its schedule Navigator of the Seas arriving at 5am and departing at 5pm on Nov 2nd and every week throughout November and December.  There hasn't been a cruise ship at PortMiami in quite some time so the fact that Navigator is on its schedule is a promising sign.

This looks significant!

I was hopeful for March -May timeframe . I had said all along we would not sail in 2020 but now 60k cases the other day everywhere is spiking people just dont seem to care . Maybe mid summer if we get a full vaccine .  Hope earlier . I saw Dr, Faucci say we could start by late 2020 with or early 21 . Hoping our April TA will go. But will not be shocked if also gets cancelled.

"When Cruising Begins" based on what....I think you will see a cruise here and there, very limited, maybe as early as early spring 2021, and it will grow from there.

To me, "When Cruising Begins" means what it used to be, where I can book what ship I want, what time of year, the port of may choosing, etc.

For that to happen will b e a long, long time. Maybe Spring of 2022....there will be cruses before then, but it won't be what we are accustomed to.

Voted December 2020.

Like any business from your local diner to big retail store, RCL is a business. They need to operate cruises to stay in business. COVID or not, they will begin operations as soon as they receive approval to do so. Big resorts like Vegas and Atlantic City opened catering primarily to out of state visitors. And statistically, there are a number of COVID positive guest wandering their hotel and casino floors each day.

Mighty specific date.....I am currently searching Nostradamus' quatrains for some insider information on this prediction.

That is the month and day of my birth and if I make it to that day it will be the celebration of a very special age and my thinking is that cruise lines will want to celebrate with me.

Dont know this guy from Adam but he claims all the cruise lines pulled back until the election. If the current administration stays in, limited In dec. If the other is in they will listen to the scientists and stay closed thru next February and march might restart. I doubt hes that far off as to why everyone pulled back until election. Not meant plus or minus for either side. He thinks cruiselines are on sidelines and waiting. Go listen yourself to his reasoning and the zoom and other meetings.

Anyway, he says hang loose until election, nothing happening until after, at best. Not taking either side politically. Not meant politically so dont take it that way, but agree, hang loose for now.

His reasoning is the cruiselines arent sending in ships and crew until its known.

Luckily my next cruise is april.
