Got my 2nd Moderna shot today, so glad it's done.  We were about 40 min in total here in Concord NH!

I think it's already been said on this thread that you shouldn't laminate your vaccination card... we were told in case there is a booster shot sometime in the future.  At any rate we wanted to protect our cards so we ordered these:

https://www.amazon.com/KEYLION-Horizontal-Waterproof-Resealable-Multiple/dp/B06XVN1HDR/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1LTLG0C7T8CNZ&dchild=1&keywords=keylion+10+pack+large&qid=1614891934&sprefix=zealion+10+pack%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-1

They fit perfectly and even can be used as a lanyard if need be.

We also looked on the CDC site for our 'certificate of vaccination'.  It has the same info as the card; dates, type of vaccine and lot number.  I suppose this information could be linked up to a database (with an individual's permission) to make something like an electronic vaccine passport, I don't know.

Good idea.  One can also keep the card in your passport and use a seal-able passport holder.

I have been on the CVS, Walgreens and Mass State sites every day.  Even when they say there is availability, when you actually try to secure an appointment it comes up "sorry".  Hopefully in the next few weeks it will open up, but right now, I'm spending way too much time chasing the rabbit.

I got my second Moderna shot today! Arm is really sore but so far no other issues. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Unfortunately my spouse is younger than me and in good health so last in line for a vaccine.

I had that same soreness. It was still there the next day, but gone the day after. DW had the same experience.

Here in Mass they claim to be doing vaccinations,  by appointment only.  Appointments, however, are very elusive.  I try to get one every day for three weeks now, no success, always shows no appointments available.

Same in NJ. I pre-registered with the state and with a local health network, but otherwise  I had to randomly check at least 3 separate websites and hope for the best. Tried for 6 weeks with no luck.  But lo and behold I finally checked at the right time on the county (not state) website and got an open slot. So of course the very next day I got an invitation to make an appointment from the health network I had registered with. CVS and Rite Aid never had any slots available.

The other day someone locally suggested that CVS had appointment times you checked their web site.  Probably not true at the moment.  But perhaps something will open up next week?    I haven’t tried yet as I don’t qualify yet.

I received an ‘invitation’ to schedule an appt. from Lahey. Had a choice of dates. Today

I live in Washington and from what I hear where you live can make a difference in the ease of getting your shot.  The first week of Feb. I had the opportunity to get shots at three different places within 1 mile of my home - a Major Hospital, through Kaiser and through our residential community (62+).  I felt like I actually had won a major lottery!.. I went with the MAJOR hospital and all went 100% smoothly for both shots.  Friends who use either Kaiser or our facility were thrilled with their experiences as well.  In all cases the shots were given outside of a Hospital.

HOWEVER, for those who say - "I would never go to a hospital" - some die because of that - I definitely would have died last April IF I had said and acted accordingly.  I knew my problem needed immediate attention and my MD arranged for admission by phone.  Once there I of course was tested for COVID-19 but at that time test results took several days so I spent my first two nights on an active COVID ward.  I must say I never felt safer in a hospital as I was treated as a COVID patient.  Boring, but safe and bed bound. The second morning I was sent by ambulance to another hospital with a specialist who could and would perform the procedure I urgently needed.  Another COVID test, (they wanted a different test than Hospital 1 used) and another night on the COVID ward. That afternoon they had to do the surgery - or my liver should have "died".  When done with the surgery they did move me to a non-COVID ward on another floor for two more nights.  These were the worst 2 hospital days/nights I have experienced as I basically felt pretty good but I was confined to my room - no visitors, no walking even with a walker or staff assistance - just laid in bed.  I did have a spectacular (mountains and water) view from my 10 floor room, so that was my entertainment.       IF YOU NEED TO GO TO A HOSPITAL - PLEASE GO! NOT WORTH THE RISK.
(And yes, most of my working career was in Hospitals - one the wards and in offices.  I know what incubators they can be - but we only hear of the bad problems - not the thousands of patients discharged from hospitals every day without the kinds of problems folks (including newspapers) love to talk/right about.

Did you sign up for "Alerts" with Walgreens?  When they had availability in our area I received an email and jumped on it right away and was able to get scheduled.  Had our 1st Dose last week and have our Appointments for 2nd Dose scheduled.

We finally got the second vaccine yesterday.  In Florida, Publix has made it relatively easier than in other states, from what I'm hearing.  Glad to have it done; minor aches and chills this morning that was remedied by Extra Strength Tylenol.  Can't wait to cruise again.

We got our #2 dose of Moderna  on Thursday in our So Cal desert home!  Greatly relieved to get it.  yesterday I had chills and body aches but no headache.  OTC Advil and Tylenol helped and no symptoms today.  Guarding our CDC card like our passports now!

Second Moderna vaccination on 3/4. Significant body aches yesterday but fine today, Reaction simply means your immune system if functioning correctly. Guess we all have the same idea of putting the vaccination card with our passport!

My DW and I put our cards in our passports so we would remember where they were.

I got my second shot over a month ago and I've yet to have to show that card to anyone.  I do keep it safely tucked in my wallet though.  🙂

Great idea.  I scan mine into our computer and also made a copy of it.

Yep, Once we get our second jab of Moderna on April 3rd, the forms will get scanned, photographed by phones, copied and the copies laminated. Originals will go with the passports and reduced laminated copies will go into our wallets. Other copies will go into the travel folder that contains copies of our passports and other important information.

I made copies of the front sides of the CDC card showing our 2 doses and laminated the copies for our wallets and as HAL4now said, placed the cards with our passports.  Still waiting for a chance to show the wallet copy!!

Here in SC, I think things are beginning to ease up vaccine wise for those 65+. I got my first shot of Moderna at Walmart a few weeks ago, with a return date scheduled for shot #2. This week, three of the other sites I’d registered with called me to schedule, so availability is improving. Monday, sign-up moves to anyone with health risks, regardless of age, and all workers who are front line with customers or clients. i think the J and J shot will be popular since it’s one and done!

i got them to sign my yellow Health Passport too, but I also got the regular card. Take a photo with your phone, too!

DH got his second dose this week.  I told him to share a copy with our PCP.  Within 30 minutes they had it documented on his record and it appears in the patient portal.  That’s another way to back up proof.

No, but will do that as well.  Thanks for the heads up.  Today they announced that CVS is opening more vaccine centers in stores near us, but    they said they have no knowledge of when availability will begin.
