Captain Smit just gave our noon report - as we left Trieste so late due to the bad weather, our stop in Katakolon has been cancelled and we will have another sea day.  Seas are 3 1/2 meters.

I was in a long line this morning at the front desk, and a young officer came up to me, I guess he saw me holding a booking confirmation and my navigator app open to my account.  Robert, the Finance Manager, said that he would take care of my little problem that my shareholder OBC had not been credited.  I said I guessed the Night Auditor would fix it. (My little joke…)  As a very serious Dutchman, he assured me in no uncertain terms that there is no more Night Auditor - the are now called Finance Specialists and they work in the daytime.

So now we know!

Thanks for all the great reports, Ann.  Appreciate all the information.

The night auditor is gone and now a Finance Specialist who works in the daytime?  YIPPEE 🙂  Hope your shareholder credit appears today for you 🤞

@Vict0riann& @VMax1700

I sympathize with yesterday’s ordeal. Someone was not thinking that a two hour ride + approximately an hour at each end was a heck of a lot of time without water and a snack.

Hope the rest of the cruise is everything you want it to be.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us!

Busy day today.  We had a wine tasting at 1, then a Mariners’ Reception for 4 and 5 star, and then the Cruise Critic Meet & Greet.  The sea has calmed down a lot and the skies are blue.  Things are looking up.  We are going to the Pinnacle at 8 tonight, and I might have a little nap to prepare for it, after a fair amount of wine.  Oh, and the Captain’s greeting is at 7:15.  We will need a sea day to recover.

At the M&G we met Rich Fielder, and Pat had a nice chat with Colin.  I think there were about 20 there, some had been on the ship for previous cruises. It was all very casual, and relaxed.  Evidently we are 877 on board.

More excitement.  A couple of hours ago, there was an announcement by the officer of the watch that a person should immediately report in.  It sounded like she might be missing.  And just now the Captain has announced that there is going to be a medical evacuation by helicopter.  And the officer of the watch then came on to call the fire crew to report fully dressed.  Something is going on.

Thank you Ann and Colin for your perspective. I noticed your embarkation area yesterday looked a "bit" dated. Hoping today makes a 180!

Ann have a great dinner in Pinnacle and remember to share pictures. (Are you having the clothesline bacon?) sigh...

I haven’t decided about that, my usual first dinner there is the crab cakes, and the small tenderloin, but I had steak last night, so I think it will be the lamb chops tonight.  Does the bacon go with lamb chops? Decisions, decisions.

If a helicopter hovers above a ship, it is standard procedure to have a fire fighting team at hand.

The helicopter arriving.  I can’t tell what country it is.  I took the picture through the door.  Captain said to stay inside, and no flash photography.

Wow, that number of people is low.  That said, I'd be happy if my cruise was like that.

As much as I like bacon I find the closeline bacon to be overrated.  I think the crab cakes are much better.

We went to MDR tonight.  Really surprised that we walked straight in and were given a two top right at the stern window at about 6.15pm.

Waiter introduced himself and asked did we require drinks and they were delivered to us before he had taken our dinner order.  Impressive.

The filet mignon Oscar was ok and the L'escargots were goodish.

The chocolate souffle goes with everything!

Yum on the escargots 👍

And yay on the good wine service.  Much appreciated 🙂

Looks like things are improving from yesterday - so glad to hear it.
