Thank you for sharing.  This news release doesn't answer my most important question.  Is it non smoking or do they at least have a separate walled off section that is non smoking?  The rest sounds great but I really do hope they come up with a solution for a pain point for many of us.

I’d prefer a smaller non smoking casino than a larger casino with permitted smoking.  A big casino with lots of smokers?   No thank you!  This is a deal breaker for us.  We’re being forced to sail exclusively with Celebrity in the future.

With all that, they'll probably have only one "Fun 21" table on board. I hate slots as they're mindless and for me, "Fun 21", with its low minimum wager, slow play and strategy differences because of an odd deck, is a way to spend some time with other like-minded players just having some fun.

Thats how many of us feel about video poker!  Inventory has gotten tiny onboard, and usually stuck in a corner on the Smoking side!? 😵  Not appreciated. cough cough 🙁

Not that I would sail in ships this big anyway but if it is right on the piazza the then that smoke is going to leak out. I will stick to grand class ships as much as possible

I have been in many ships since restart and every one of them have had some video poker in the non smoking area even if it was just a few machines. The Crown has perhaps my favorite casino

Well no wonder my DH got so many fantastic offers for the Sun in its opening months. They clearly want the gamblers onboard. I'm very excited to travel on this new ship - sadly none of the dates or itineraries worked for us this Spring. But I'm looking forward to a day when one does!

Clearly, the casinos are becoming an even more important component of financial success for Princess and must really help shore up the bottom line. Makes sense they are touting this grand and large new venue on the Sun - it would be nice if it was smoke free, but at least they have smoke free areas and smoke free evenings.

Hey Princess!  Here's my casino wish list:

- Non-smoking

- Double-up on popular tables like Fun 21 and Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em

- More VP

- TITO redemption machines

- Larger, better staffed cage

Most of these aren't hard to do...

They were going to try to add a glass sliding door to close the casino off from the piazza on the Enchanted during dry dock April 2023, per GS and the casino host.

It’s a large piazza and definitely smoke leaked into the area.

Don’t know if they did that? Was to be a trial.  😂

I have not seen any non smoking nights in the 5 cruises we took in 2023. Thru seem to be a thing of the past

They are a thing of the past.

I wish they would return it to no smoking on formal nights again. 😞

With that many extra people onboard the new Sun Princess I’m glad to hear the casino is larger so I can hopefully get a spot at the table. 😉 We enjoy gambling and have done so on most of our cruises, but only the tables and have never gotten any casino deals. I’m looking forward to checking it out. I may love the larger ship but I think it may be too big for us. I do enjoy smaller vessels. We will see how it goes!

I found the casino on Discovery to be very smokey, but the casino on Regal was quite acceptable.

The casinos on Carnival's Excel class are huge and they have done a good job of isolating smoke(rs) from non-smokers, IMO. The Sun Princess is similar, although not cookie cutter, so it may be possible to duplicate.

Removing the cigar bars may force more smokers to the casino. Time will tell.

Too early for me to complain, since the ship isn't even in service.

Personally, my number 1 casino wish is to have a house edge that is a negative number.

Obviously, I will never get my wish.

If you play long enough and often enough and bet r out you will get offers. We play slots and tables several hours every day. If you just play now and then you will not get offers   You can always see the casino host and find out how many points you have

Does Princess not realize since the Casino is the only indoor smoking venue (besides some of the small cigar lounges), that people will go there to have a cigarette even if they are not gambling, making the problem worse.  There are good air filters if they invest in enough of them and use them all the time before the carpet and other materials become saturated with smoke.

Princess is aware that smokers are using the casino as a smoking room only, but it’s very hard to monitor everyone in the casino, so they just ignore it.  The carpet and other soft goods do smell of smoke!  If I use the casino, even for a short time, my hair and my clothes reek of smoke!  I’ve learned after dinner to change into my sweats before going to the casino and then washing my hair before going to bed.  Our cruising days with Princess are probably coming to an end in the near future.  So sad.
