Thank You Everyone

Well, this is my last weekend home (although I do have to work on

Monday) but I wanted to post a BIG Thank you to everyone who has been

so kind and helpful:)......My flight leaves here on Tuesday morning and

I arrive in Amsterdam on Wednesday. (the connection is an overnight

flight out of Newark).

And I sail on Thursday.......:D

 

Thanks for answering my questions and being kind about it too. This forum

is so much more mellow.....I appreciate all the help:)

 

I am so looking forward to this new adventure:)

Good luck not getting too excited this weekend! As I said before, we're just 2 days behind you into AMS Friday morning, stopping by on our way through to Budapest. We will be packing this afternoon as well, but we have 3 or 4 more days of work before flying out.

 

Right now the big decision is whether or not to take Thursday off and have a (somewhat) relaxing day before we fly out in the afternoon, or whether to work part of the day and rush home, grab our bags, and rush to the airport to just catch the plane. The latter is our usual MO, though it is becoming less fun each time!

Lois, as a newbie to River Cruising I wasn't able to provide you any input but nevertheless have enjoyed following your posts as I have learned a lot from the questions you posted and the answers you received.

 

I wanted to wish you safe travels, and a wonderful experience and I look forward to hearing all about it.

off too but we closed our month today at work and there are still things

I need to do on Monday:rolleyes:....It is one of those things...easier for

me take care of them. My flight leaves on Tuesday at 11:20am. But

I won't be in a rush so that is a good thing:)

I had intentions of posting daily on our trip last year, but then reality set in. It's much more fun to enjoy the cruise and write a blog when you get home!

Lois, have a great first river cruise! I will be interested in hearing about your experience as a solo river cruiser. My experience was great and I hope yours is too. The worst part is those overnight long flights - ugh. Once you get that behind you it will be smooth sailing from there. Have never been to Amsterdam but it's on my to do list.

Lois, we're not going until 2018, for our 30th! I am already thinking of packing etc now..... DH is going to go crazy when we get closer with all my planning.
