Glass for me then, confirmed.🍷🍷would kill me to go a month with no vino, lol.

We’ve done it before, but the worst times are evenings at the golf club😬.  We also need to drop many kilos before piling them on again cruising in a couple of months.

Just a note to say that yesterday I retired from full time work, after 46 years. Original plan was to fully retire, but I’ve hedged my bets by going to a part- time consultant role with my employer. More free time & still some income maybe is a better option before relying on super.

anyway we look forward to a simpler life 😁

Well done Neil and Tracey. Now you can travel a bit more, but remember....

Public holidays loose their attraction, just a reminder the banks will be closed!

Bank are open ???? all that seams to happen now is branches are closing permanently...

Public holidays.... oh the day when you wonder why aren't these people at work......

The best thing is one can go away any time...... except school holidays and public holidays 😊

Work what is work.... going to Dan's and Cooking..... Deciding what you would like for dinner

No wine last night, in fact no alcohol at all. I don't usually drink during the week, unless holidaying/ cruising / socialising.

Old habits

I tend to only drink on weekend nights unless holidaying or a special occasion. Rolf often has an armagnac or single malt after dinner though, I have a small amount of chocolate instead.😊

Sounds great, we need to call in to renew our fees anyway, but we’re doing Dry July so you’ll have to drink the whole bottle🤣. See you in the foyer.

Still ok for 12 Thursday at Golfie.

Great to meet you in person today, Les.  We really enjoyed lunch and chewing the fat (pun intended).  M remembered he’d used his licence at the Southern Cross Club renewing our fees the other day.  The miracle is they have located it and put it aside.  Boomer brain cells🤣

I worked in a bank for thirty years and on two occasions after I retired I went to my local branch on a Monday to find it closed - Bank Holiday. Doh! 🙄. I don't go to banks anymore but will have to soon as I have a lot of cash to deposit from selling a couple of bikes OR, I suppose, can do it at my local Post Office, do they still handle cash?

Do they still make cash???

I constantly have to ask Mrs G what day it is, but then combine retirement with constant mini strokes and I think I have an excuse.

All this week it has been “why aren’t all these kids at school?”

My first couple of years after retirement I'd be drinking my morning coffee on the back deck wondering if there was somewhere else I was supposed to be. Every day is a bit like Sunday. I know its Sunday because I get the Sunday paper delivered and I know it's Saturday because thye Newcastle Herald is on my driveway = weekend alert.

Every day does seam the same now a days, gone is shops shutting a noon on saturday

Cheers Don

My father used to say he knew it was Sunday because he could smell the roast in the oven.
