logan25 Posted December 1, 2018 #78 Share Posted December 1, 2018 It's incredibly sad that fellow members have to step up to the plate to offer assistance since official CC help does not seem forthcoming.

What makes you think it's the ad that's doing it? If this problem is being caused by a rogue ad, then that would be a long way towards solving the problem. It would also explain why some of us aren't seeing the problem - I usually don't see ads (although I'm not using an ad blocker as such, but a similar safety mechanism). To be fair, 'twas ever thus. Hosts, too, are volunteers drawn from the ranks of members. And it's much like this on every IBB that I've used, even though most are commercial operations. Been There, Planning That Posted December 2, 2018 #84 Share Posted December 2, 2018 (edited) On MAC Google Chrome mine stopped even doing the menopausal flashing and simply refuses to accept my password. In the past it needed a bit of cooling down and then would work. Most recently it simply refuses to accept me without a LONG cooling off period. And as others have said deleting cookies daily is a great nuisance. I'm following two active HAL roll calls so this is most frustrating. texmex.ferr Posted December 2, 2018 #85 Share Posted December 2, 2018 Had the same issue using Microsoft Edge in the past couple of days, but as everyone else has found, if I log in on the CC main web page it seems to be ok
rma2001 Posted December 2, 2018 #86 Share Posted December 2, 2018 Just observation of what was happening on the page, seemed the long banner ad at the top was cycling, then the whole page would and the cycle continued. I got on my WiFi with my PiHole and the issue went away.

I cannot see "home" anywhere on that page. Or anything that looks like "home". Not even by clicking on every button and drop-down. I guess I'm not seeing the same page as you. Would love to show you a screen-shot but haven't a clue. Gave up when I got to .........."Unlike XP, the clipboard cannot be viewed in Windows 7. You need a copy of clipbrd.exe from an XP computer. It is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32. Copy it into the same folder in Windows 7 and to run it, click the Windows Orb (Start), type clipbrd and press Enter." I'm off to bed. And might not be back. luvscruising2007 Posted December 2, 2018 #98 Share Posted December 2, 2018 As I read all of these complaints it is obviously not a browser issue but a CC issue. The mods need to address the issue and fix it. I use Chrome exclusively but can get into CC using Explorer'
Rare Lois R Posted December 2, 2018 #99 Share Posted December 2, 2018 I normally use IE.........it has been funky all day (on here)..........so I used Chrome and just for CC that works ok........I do think it is CC and not all of our browsers........up until yesterday things had been working correctly so something must have happened for this to continually go bonkers........the screen keeps going and going to where you cannot click on the activity stream since it won't stay still.
