Jim, I am enjoying your wonderful review! Getting ready for our Bermuda cruise. 

 

Happy to see Summit so updated and modern. Last time in 2015 it was a bit worn out.

 

 One question. I do not see padded loungers by the pool. I thought some of them were padded previously just like on S class. Am I mistaken?

We are loving Summit.   I mentioned to Iain this morning that after 5 days all of the negatives have blended with all the positive and I don’t even notice them.   We are also loving Aqua and will definitely do again.  

 

Remember variety and change is the spice of life.

I will try the  plus sign ...never knew.  The  dropping  of excess photos seems easy , Partial quotes  may be a bit tricky...I think people get into trouble doing that but I will try as well,  still working on getting rid of my past posts that are often repeated when I make a new post.

 

Sorry I caused a diversion from the review......which I am following with great interest!  I think we are good to go!

 

 

Thanks for all the tutorials.   Another trick is you can highlight just the text you want and press the +.  Then press the pop up paste and it will just quote the highlighted text

Yes there are some padded loungers.   At least I think there are.  I’ll check further and post a pix.

Even though  it was a silly day there were many things going on during the day. Starting first event was the captains club meeting where top cruisers and Zenith‘s were acknowledged. 

 

 

 

 

 

Arno and Joanne were recognized as top cruiser.  They are the warmest most gracious guests you can ever meet.

We have been going to Aqua Spa Cafe.  Perfect size plated for a light lunch.  The have added much more seating and lots of tables available.

Wanted to   highlight the Peter Max event...Surprised X still going with this Park West event...in light of the recent NY Times expose ( see sep CC thread). Wonder how crowded it will be???

Very nice spa cafe lunch menu...they did a nice job with that area!

 

Your enthusiam is contagious..I think we will find more that we like on the updated Summit than things we don't like.  We are booked in a reg cabin but may decide to go into AQ Class if we see any price reduction.  I see the Prime Rib on the menu...and a great pic of Iain!

Kings Wharf

 

today we are being lazy and just enjoying Kings Wharf.  Much more here than I realized.  Temperatures are 80 and 100% humidity.  

 

Today being Wednesday they have a big block party in Hamilton from 7:00 pm.  Will see how we feel later

Wow, I haven't been able to check in on CC since last Saturday. Finally caught up on your blog, really enjoying all the great photos and commentary!

 

I realize you're dining in Blu for the most part, but wondered if you'd remember if all the largest tables in the MDR are basically by the grand staircase. Seems that way from the pictures.

 

Asking because for our Iceland & Greenland sailing next year we've requested to be at a table for 12 so we have a good chance to meet a larger group and have good conversation opportunities each night. Was hoping they might have one or two of those tables by the gigantic window all the way aft so there could be some night views at night, but from your photos it looks like those are all tables for 2 or 4, with a few 6- or maybe 8-seat tables in the corners.

 

Well, if nothing else we can get breakfast in the MDR each day and request a window table if we don't feel like company that morning. But I will say that I do really enjoy just requesting a shared table and seeing who I get sat with; have met some really fun / nice / interesting people and enjoyed a whole other facet of the cruising experience!

It works without pressing the ‘+’ , which I have never used. Just press ‘ quote text’ which pops up after highlighting.

Yes the plus works when you want to pull multiple quotes even from different messages.

Thanks for the glimpse of Mom and Dad! Sounds like the weather is good! Mom and I were talking about Chef Boulud coming on board! Hoping they get to taste some new menu items before the end of this sailing...thinking you should get to see new menu items on the second sailing but not sure how quickly they can revamp the menus et al. Please pay attention to that though...we are very interested in what Chef does to the menus. Mom said Blu will be after Luminae.
