Some may remember the Royal UP mistake we made and ended up with a large balcony?  WOW! LOOK AT THE SIZE!

I don't think we will be tempted to book one in the future.

Chairs are not bad.

The view one way is nice.

With the Large Balcony Room, is it the balcony or the room that's larger? Or just the price tag? 😁😉

Just kidding, the rooms are on the "bump" (at  least, i think so) so you get a few extra inches of balcony to stretch your legs out. Ask the cabin attendant if they can get you a few loungers, I've asked in the past. Sometimes yes, sometime no.

I spent 3 weeks in Maui in college in a tropical marine biology class. We went all over the island on field trips and a few of us into town just about every night. And we have also been back twice on cruises, so I am guessing they still use the same place. Kimo's in Lahaina is a favorite restaurant.

The college group I was traveling with were Seventh Day Adventists from Seattle Pacific University. Although "wiki" said they were Free Methodists. (Think "Footloose, anyway) The instructors introduced me as the black sheep from California. 🙄 But I did find a couple of guy students who accompanied me on our visits to Lahaina and other jaunts. The drinking age was 18 at the time.  I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. 😊

I have a friend who was a Professor at the University of Hawaii at Maui.Whenever we speak he tells me that life there is Paradise.

YEAH!!! Cuz every time you go it at least $200 so $30-40 off is a big deal.

Ruth's Chris going with Darden is great news.

Ooops. It might be Landry's, not Darden. My apologies. Or it is not listed yet anyway. I don't think we have a Ruth Chris locally. I got too excited.

I’ve been reading a live review on the Celebrity board…the OP went to a place in Bermuda, Woody’s, and had what he said was the best world class fish sandwich.  I thought, that sounds good…then saw his posted picture.  🤮  Fried fish on raisin bread!!!!  I don’t share some of you guys’ intense raisin aversion…but that was the most awful thing I’ve ever seen.  I really feel I want to go brush my teeth…

That is a Bermuda thing, Swizzle Inn has it on their menu too.  I tried it and it is actually very good. 😄

I couldn't live on an island. Maui is gorgeous, but there is only one main road that goes everywhere on Maui! You can't just drive to other places, or other states. It is beautiful, but I couldn't do it. It is too confining. And I thought that back in college.

Where is the pier at to get off the tenders, looks like the tenders are just running aground onto the beach. lol

There’s recently been an extension to the existing pier that’s just now been updated to Google Maps.

Not a huge pier, must be like rush hour in NYC when those tenders are coming in and going out all at once.

This is our excursion today. It's supposed to last 8 to 10 hours depending on traffic.

image.thumb.png.6b3062f3dde5b984993e21ed5ba5e3aa.png

I should have time to post pics between post if my battery last and I don't fall asleep.   I woke up around 2 or 3 am and couldn't get back to sleep.  He just said we will 7pm. It is currently 8:30am.  I don't think the guy ahead of us knew it was sooo long 😂

We drove to Haleakala and back today with a stop for lunch.  Great trip.  Where are you going to be tonight, we should try to meet up.

Was it sunny, so you could see the crater?

The price.  The room actually seemed smaller to both of us.  Live and learn.
