Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

I mentioned that one of my garden beds is being used by my DD to grow tulips.  Last week 395 were picked from the bed.

Today they picked 184!  While picking occasionally a stem will break.   Those become flowers for our house!

Here is what Kenzie thinks when she hears tulips.

BTW,  she found Sharon's glasses. The pic above was taken after she realized she was wearing them upside-down.

We are back from the orthopedist.  Charlie has a tear in his shoulder,  MRI scheduled to see how bad.  Could be just therapy needed or an operation.  Hoping for therapy🤞🙏

I’ve not had time to play on my iPhone for a while   My 35 person group cruise took up more time than they did back when I worked.
maybe it’s because of the demographics?

I don’t want to betray my favorite gender, but herding cats is what it has been like.
The result  was a really great cruise; dinners in the MDR were actually excellent, and the dining department on Allure did exactly what asked for. We were in the side room with an entrance directly from the elevator lobby.
No winding through the tables to get to ours, and quiet enough we could all talk.
I can attend my women’s club luncheons without fear that someone is going to come after me with a pitchfork!

I’ve been keeping up with our friend who is on the World Cruise, and y’all may have already posted this.  I hate to think of all I have missed.
Anyway, he is now a certified Sydney Harbor Bridge climber!

That’s a big effort organising a group of 35 and keeping everyone happy.  Well done.  I love the night-time photos that Laura posted of J’s group on the Bridgeclimb.  Did you do the Bridgeclimb when you were in Sydney?

I don't know about @jagsfan But Bill and I just did the Pylon Climb. Our bungee jumping and bridge climbing days are behind us. The Pylon climb was awesome, we could look down from the top and watch the bridge climbers, along with fabulous photos of the harbor and skyline. And the whole interior of the pylon is set up as a museum with exhibits and interesting information about the history of the Sydney Bridge, including the former cattery at the top.

Maybe not as adventurous as the bridge climb, but we were quite pleased with the pylon experience. Then we went to bars in The Rocks, A Lowenbrau beer bar that was fun, and then Fortunes of War, advertised as Sydney's oldest pub.

Edit: And I don't think Mimi, jagsfan likes heights...so probably not. 😊

A few nights ago I must have scratched myself in my sleep.  Woke up with a red raised sore spot.  Unfortunately on my chest just where my bra would rub against it.  So I put a bandage on it.  That night when removing the bandage I find the skin on my chest/upper tummy is evidently sensitive to the adhesive of the bandage.  Sigh.  Now I have irritated red splotches surrounding the red sore.  Called my PA to get a referral to my dermatologist to hopefully get the original spot frozen and some soothing ointment.

Then I pick up Minnie to carry her from the bathroom to the bedroom.  Do this every night.  But last night suddenly our neighbor’s alarm system goes off.  Poor Minnie is startled/frightened and catapults herself off my chest.  I know she didn’t mean to hurt me but she deployed her claws to get maximum thrust.  So now my chest and both arms are shredded.  And I know I can’t put a bandage on my chest.

So George has to swab me down with alcohol and put gauze pads and surgical tape on the slashes.  This morning I find I’m sensitive to the surgical tape the same as the bandage adhesive.  I now have slashes AND large red irritated areas on my abdomen.  Sigh.  I shower and go buy bandages for sensitive skin and am thankful I don’t earn my living as a porn star because I look like the proverbial dog’s dinner!

Oh my, wasn't sure how to react to your post.  Have a friend who went through similar issue with bandages recently.  Sensitive skin bandaid helped some.

Guess a few days at hi,e in the house are in order.

Oh no, I hope you start healing soon.  Time to lose the bra for a while.

You know I pinched a nerve and went to emergency to take x rays. At least the doctor thought it was a pinched nerve .. just before I had to board that 14 day carnival cruise.

I bought out the grocery store of pain patches ... started developing red spots. Realized changing the pain patches felt like setting my skin on fire. .. I got 4 of 6 boxes of pain patches still sealed. I didnt even know I was sensitive to them. Sure seemed like it. Had to quit using them. The adhesive in them must be wicked strong. A nurse happened to sit next to me in the buffet and saw my arm and said I was reacting allergic to the adhesive.

No kidding!!  I’ve worn bandages all my life on other areas of my body:  forearms, fingers, ankles, etc.  I had no idea that more delicate skin seldom touched by the sun would react so differently!!

Sounds like you had a lovely day and yes, the Harbour Pylon is a good alternative for those who don’t want to do the climb plus it’s a much cheaper option too,

Had to laugh at your last line but sorry you are going through all this.  Hope you heal soon.

You have a remarkable attitude considering your medical issues, but I am sure having a great family including the extremely cute Kenzie helps a lot .
