We got ours about 30 miles south of here on our way to our DD house.  Luckily there is a lady close to use who grows near there but brings orders back here.

Here is the pie.  We will put whip cream on it after it chills awhile.

@Ocean Boy 1st pic 9:16. 2nd 3:4 108mp.  CC must have a limit on size.  It would not let me load the original or at 80%.  After reducing to 60% it loaded.

How about this amazing guy celebrating his 100th birthday by running the 100 meter in Penn relays.   And Married for 80 yrs!

This is where Eric went to college, rowed for several years as a student and as an alumni for Penn and had his transplant surgery at Penn.  Eric had a room in the athletic building where he lived as a student for 1 yr.  I have walked this track many times while Eric was in the Hospital but I am now ashamed to say I have not run it.  Very impressed with this gentlemen.

My mother had a sister who at age 99 ran in the Senior Olympics.

Well, I’m sure getting a lot of value from the Showtime free preview this weekend with my cable company.  I already binged “Dexter: New Blood”, “Your Honor”, “American Rust” and halfway through “Yellowjackets”.

”Dexter” finally got an appropriate ending.

”YourHonor” is excellent.

”American Rust” had a good story and excellent cast, but was a bit drawn out.  It ended like it would have a second season, but I read it was cancelled.

”Yellowjackets” looked like it was going to be similar to “The Wilds” on Amazon, but it different enough.  I’m half way through so far.

This is the first cruise that I've had end on a Saturday instead of a Sunday in a very long time. It has been so nice not having to go back to work the day after returning home. It is hard to make this happen with 8 day cruises. It is time to start looking for the next one.

Join us on the Bella cruise March 12, 2023 on Oasis.

Yeah, that's really good.  I need to be in a certain place to pour the Ardbeg.  It's incredibly peaty (like drinking a campfire), but soooooo good.

Thanks for checking in. You were my inspiration in trying to get those shots. I think they can really make a photograph. I'll leave the urinals to you knowing my luck someone would walk in on me as I was taking the picture and call me a weirdo. Great mooring pictures. You are a winner in my book.

Thank you for the kind words and appreciate you reading my trip reports. I'm like the weirdo cousin you only see once in a blue moon that shows up for Family gatherings during holidays and funerals.

My favorite urinal picture was the the Allure with the elephants in the theater.  I bow down to the wicked genius that put up the picture in the men's room in the Allure.  I hope it's still there after whatever upgrades they made to the ship the past 8 years.

Speaking of pictures, as I was looking at my pictures to upload in the previous post, I realized I used to take more miniature and Bokeh effect pictures in the old days.  Need to get back to doing more of them as I get bored just taking pictures of dog's behind...

BTW:  Do you or anyone know how to insert a blank line between my picture uploads?  The software just lump all of them together...

Harry - When are you cruising in Alaska?  We're on Quantum in September.

Hi, Bob,

How goes?

We will be on the Majestic Princess in August.  I tried to book 3 adjacent cabins on the Quantum few months ago but couldn't find any.  So had to go with Princess as they let us have connecting cabins in a quad even though we will only have 2 people in each cabin.  Couldn't get that on the Quantum. Even though my boys would be happier on Quantum instead with all the advanced Tech stuff as Princess is probably too sedate for them.

Especially Alaska is more for the older crowd.  Don't think there are too many Senor Frogs next to the whale watching tours.

We will be flying to Anchorage overnight and then sail south to Vancouver for the southbound journey.  Third Alaska trip - first time was one way north bound and second time was round trip Seattle - so this completes the trifecta. In theory we could

Good thing about Princess is they go to both Hubbard Glacier as well as spend a whole day at Glacier Bay National Park as not all cruise lines can go there with limit of 2 large ships daily.  So this will be a cruise more for the itinerary with double glaciers than the ship itself.

So yesterday my daughter Christina and her husband Brandon were supposed to spend the day at his parents house celebrating his nephews first birthday. Well they were worried about us and did not know if we could handle 8 paws for 4 days while they went to a conference in Kansas.
So they surprised us arriving last night.
They wanted to make sure we would not be upset dog sitting so close to our loss of Carrie.  I said no it’s just what we need to keep our minds busy. And if it did bother us Brandon s parents would watch them.

So here are Christina and Brandon at Jed’s first birthday. E5D15F35-695E-489C-8A1C-26F215D9452C.thumb.jpeg.ebcae6d00a2ac6dc4da177d1a35c7953.jpeg

Then Christina goes we would never surprise you with a kitten. But if you need help rescuing one I’ll help.  But we wanted to get you something to take your mind away from Carrie. So we got you a small gift. D84A16BE-1D6F-468E-8762-4B394CB6540C.thumb.jpeg.e47bf7818bef8b6915529e9bd31a7d3d.jpeg

Harrahs casino.  I play the Flames of Olympus penny machine,  it is hooked up to a random bonus plus the normal bonuses.

Harrah's might be my a close 2nd for favorite casino, Borgota is #1, I enjoy the lively atmosphere and the drink ladies come around often.  Actually, I like all 3 casino's by the Marina.

As for boardwalk casinos, my favorite - Showboat - is long gone. Resorts and Hard Rock are the only 2 worth going to.  Both have a totally different vibe.

I have been watching the series The Americans on Prime.  I don’t recall anyone mentioning it on here, but maybe because it is an older series.  I have about three and a half seasons to go on it.

The Americans is on my watch list but I haven't started it yet.  I've just finished watching Mr. Robot and need to catch up on  the Amazing Mrs. Maisel.  There are a lot of episodes of The Americans so I probably binge a few at a time & they take a break.

Well, if you watched the series, you know there were gratuitous sex scenes in just about every episode (at least for the first two seasons).  So many nights, I will play it on my iPad and watch it while in the hot tub.

Another series I'm currently binging is Shameless.  They have a gratuitous sex scene every 5-10 minutes. There are 11 seasons and I've made it thru 4 so far although I usually have to  take a few weeks break after each season because everyone on that show is truly shameless.

What a sweet way to announce it. I hope you picked up on it quicker than I did…4 different times!

My youngest son broke the news of their pregnancy to his brother by giving a t shirt to his one year old, with:

'I may be little but I'm going to be a BIG cousin'

Printed on it.

For us they wrapped up a framed pic of the scan 💕

After you insert a picture place the cursor below it then tap your "return" button a couple of times. You can now insert the next picture and there will be spacing between them.

Also if on Laptop or Desktop. After you get done with your post and have posted it to the site.

Hit the edit button, and then right click to the right of the picture in the margin. You will see a little line to the right of the picture , then click the ENTER key as many times as you want and a space will be between your pictures where you can either write text in................Or just go to the next picture and repeat the steps above.

Anyone up this morning for some frog legs?

I find when trying your way on the phone when I hit the (return)back button, it completely takes me out of my post.

I assume when you are saying return, that's the back button right?

No, I mean the button that drops the cursor down a line as what you would use when starting a new paragraph. It is what you refer to as the "enter" button. Definitely not the back space button.

Yes, 2021 ultra.  I thought I read that the 2022 had 108 but maybe I was looking at 2022 ultra.  I also thought you mentioned 108mp before the cruise.  Mine does not have 50 mp.  See if you can post a 50mp on CC.

Choosing 9:16 is just a preference thing.  I don't thing it changes quality.   I shot most of my pics and almost all video horizontal.   When I view it on the TV it fills the whole screen.  Also I think it's because I shot a lot with a DSLR in my years so taking horizontal is more natural to me.

I just searched for the S22 specs and found that the base S22 and S22+ have a resolution of 50MP, while the S22 Ultra has a resolution of 108MP.  This is using the "wide" lens.  For all 3 models, the ultrawide lens is 12MP and the zoom lens is 10MP, so you won't get the very high res shots when zooming in.  Click here and scroll down to the camera section.

Most phone camera sensors are arranged in a 3:4 ratio (as are most full frame DSLRs).  If you record using 3:4, you'll get the full resolution of the camera.  If you record in 9:16, you'll essentially chop off the top and bottom rows of pixels in the sensor to get a wider looking picture, and you'll lose some resolution.  As I said before, that's not a big deal unless you're making a large format print.  I also like how the 9:16 ratio fills a typical TV screen or computer monitor.

I had Showtime but cancelled this past winter as I didn't watch on  regular basis.   I need to bring it back for a bit to watch some episodes of various series and the Ray Donovan movie.

I agree Your Honor was excellent.

I also like Billions but have not yet watched most recent episodes of Billions yet.

Dexter New Blood, I need to watch last 2 episodes.

American Rust didn't keep my interest and I gave up on it.

Some other showtime favorites, Ray Donovan, Homeland and Shameless.

Did you get to the Shrimp Festival?

We got there Friday night to see the opening festivities and eat some shrimp.  Micheline was disappointed because there were only a few of the artist booths open.  Most seemed to be shooting for a Saturday opening.  The opening ceremonies included the Miss Shrimp Festival Scholarship Pageant with 8 girls from the local high school dressed in pageant gowns and answering typical beauty contest questions.  It was fun to watch but as the father of 2 twenty something girls, left me wondering if we should be past that.  No judgement...just thought provoking for me.  At least one (maybe more?) of the girls will win a scholarship that will help with their college expenses.  Anything that helps girls better succeed is a good thing.  That was followed by Paris Winningham (3rd place in The Voice 2021) performing, the invasion of the pirates, and fireworks.

We did see a photographer who had some cool prints of things being poured (coffee, wine, margheritas, etc.) where he had the bottle in a horizontal print above the receiving glass in a separate vertical print.  Like this:

image.png.3765324fd0ceb29867a5757d9680d04a.png

The style doesn't exactly fit our decor but I'm trying to figure out if I could hang one of his sets of prints somewhere.  I haven't seen anything like that before and thought that it was very original.  Here's his website if you want to see more: Bar | Mysite (quiquephotography.com)
