She's sitting at Black Falcon terminal at the moment although her AIS shows her heading to Charleston, SC at some point soon. I would love to see NCL start using Charleston as a cruise embarkation port. I know the locals don't like the ships being based there, but it sure makes it easier for those living in the mid-South. Two hour drive for me vs 7 hours to Miami.

Charleston is a great departure port. I would far rather drive to Charleston and would likely spend an extra day there supporting their economy. Parking is easy and affordable as well.
Cruise Wonderland Posted November 22, 2020 #104 Share Posted November 22, 2020 GEM is on the way to Charleston, USA. STAR moves to Toulon, France now. ESCAPE made a brief stop at Goa yesterday and now continues her journey to Mumbai, India. SPIRIT is still in Brindisi, Italy. According to some crew members, it may go to Montenegro on 24th Nov. 2

FreestyleNovice Posted December 19, 2020 Author #121 Share Posted December 19, 2020 Norwegian Joy took the other route, via Africa! Spreading a potential risk? After a long stay in Asia, Norwegian Cruise Line NorwegianJoy sailed into Durban, South Africa earlier on today for resupply. She is on her way back home to the USA. Apparently she is the largest cruise ship to call into Durban. Picture By Drone Dad, March Nunez and Zail Singh. I think once they cancelled Jan/Feb they knew the Escape and Joy could take their sweet time. DelRio said in an interview he is seeing March as a long shot, and April may just be in Europe since they always are ahead of the US on Covid cases. I really think he is waiting to do just vaccinated folks cruises. The CDC has made it near impossible to cruise, and we all knew that as soon as the new guidelines came out.
Nclcruise1415 Posted December 20, 2020 #124 Share Posted December 20, 2020 Looks like the Joy is en route to Salvador, Brazil. I also see the Sky is heading northward but unsure if it’s just out for a spin or heading to North America.

As shared by Cruise Wonderland most ships are at their "final lay up ports". Escape is about to dock/anchor at Goa, India, on her trip to Miami. Epic is in dry dock, the Gem is out for sea trials to see if there are any loose nuts and bolts. I see that the JADE has been moored in Naples for some time now - we are booked on it - Transatlantic from NEW YORK - departing in April 2021 - the ASSUMPTION is that they will NOT bring the Jade back across the ocean - just to go on a Transatlantic ??? Any comments ? - I guess we will just wait and see - have up to 15 days prior to sailing before we cancel - assume that NCL will cancel before that ????
