RCCL could make that a 7-day & just do Labadee & Aruba.

Day 1: Depart Miami

Day 2: at sea

Day 3: Labadee

Day 4: at sea

Day 5: Aruba(all day)

Day 6: at sea

Day 7: at sea

That's actually not a bad solution.  I would prefer the 9 night, but could live with that itinerary.  Hopefully we will be notified with enough advance notice so that I can adjust my hotel stay.

I'm on an 8 night on Indy in July of next year. Indy was recently added to cover the 6 and 8 night sailings out of Miami, replacing Brilliance.  This morning the 8 nights were still there and you could do a mock booking, as of now, you can't book any of the 8 nights (you can still book the 6 nights).  You can bring up the 8 night sailing but when you go to actually book it, you get the error message below.  Hopefully they let those of us on those sailings know sooner than later what their plans are for us.

Well this didn't take long.....UUUgghhhhhhhh

A passenger on SeaDream Yacht Club’s SeaDream 1 has tested positive for COVID19 on a preliminary basis, the captain of the vessel, Torbjorn Lund, announced in a shipwide intercom address shortly after noon on Wednesday.

Lund asked all passengers to return to their cabins, where they would be isolated. Nonessential crew also would isolate immediately, he said.'

I was just reading online update from the point guy who is on that sailing.  He said how noone had to wear a mask till monday afternoon they required everyone to wear a mask.  No masks at all just sounded stupid to me.

So not surprised to hear this, but not good either.

I think it's only 52 passengers plus crew.

Hopefully everyone will be ok and no serious illnesses will result from this.

I'm sure Barbados wont be thrilled when they dock.

I just did the same thing with my 9 night on Explorer in March and got the same result.  It looks like they are not taking any new bookings on cruises over 7 days.  It would be nice to know if they are going to change these longer cruises.

I have a 9 nighter on Freedom for mid-Sept to Canada.     I suspect they could modify / shorten the sailing by losing 1 port and 1 sea day.     We'll see!   Maybe the CDC will allow 8 or 9 nighters if we have a vaccine and all is going well with cruise lines.    It is far too early for anyone to know what will be happening next fall.

The vaccine should be in mass distribution by then, so I suspect that the CDC will lift the 7 day restriction in time for your cruise.

As their IT people are obviously updating website for longer sailings, hopefully rcl let's us know their plan.

Would be easy enough to modify some of the itineraries.

Or for sailings booked for late summer/fall of 2021 to let them ride as vaccine could be a game changer and 8+ nights could be allowed by then.

I did the same and got same results,,,

I'm hoping they modify the itinerary instead of cancelling.

I think they will have to modify the itinerary.  They don't want to refund the money and they have to do something with these ships.

Hello.

I am hearing from some other passengers on my 9-day November 11 2021 Odyssey of the Seas  cruise that it is cancelled due to redeployment. Not yet seeing any changes in my booking.

Lloyd the CDC order restricting sailings to 7 days or less only runs through November 1.  Your November 11 sailing is not affected by the current order and is still available to be booked.

That’s December  2021 ,no one expects this season to happen .

That's for sure.  It's painful seeing RCI just cancel month to month.  Can't make positve alternative plans, and they want us to keep making final payments on cruises they know won't happen.  I could just cancel all 8 legs, but I already have too many FCC vouchers I can't even start to use yet.  No idea which and when each cruise will happen...then I would have vouchers on vouchers.  Ughh..

Responsible thing for RCI to do, as did their sister line Celebrity...is to rip the bandage off and come out with official cancellation of the rest of the 2020/2021 Australia/NZ season.  What's left of it anyway. Very frustrating.  😒

SilverSea, a RCG brand has cancelled everything worldwide through March (except Galapagos).

3 of my 8 day cruises are casino comped so I called Casino Royale this morning and they have no information other than you can’t book any cruises 8 day or longer cruises that start or end in a US port through 11/1/2021.   She told me that they’re working with the CDC and when they have more information, they’ll let us know.

Celebrity has cancelled Aussied/NZ for remainder of 2020/2021 season...RCI needs to make that announcement for their ships as well.  No one thinks those will have a chance to go.

Through November or through the end of October ?  My Allure 8 night on 11-13-21 is still coming up as bookable.  My Indy 7-17-21 is not.

I just rescheduled from a 9 night on Explorer to a 7 night on Allure in March.  Ironically the 7 night did cost a little more, but it will be compliant with current CDC requirements 🙂
