Premium Economy on Lufthansa was great, bigger,  more comfortable seats, with a wider armrest.  Unfortunately no way to charge my devices.  The seats were in the front of the economy cabin, not separated except by a small bit of plastic.  I don’t know about PE on American.  I imagine they are all different.

I expect the seats will be different not just between airlines but also between aircraft types and possibly even individual aircraft.  I would recommend going to seatguru.com.  They should show the setup based on the plane you would be using.  If you do not have an actual date and flight selected I'd suggest trying a couple of different possible flights.

On our premium economy on a flight to Australia there was so much room between our seat and the tv we had to get out of our seats to change to the Chanel on the TVs. Didn’t matter for him.  He slept.  Not me. Lol.

Wow, this is really eye opening.  I had no idea premium economy could be so spacious.  I’m with you on the not sleeping.  I just can’t.

I did go to SeatGuru - lots of information -

I would be looking at AA flying on a 777-200 with the seat configuration of

So wider (those 2" necessary as I am...big (or I understand the new term is...fluffy),  and a bit more legroom, And better/more service, and I think the seats recline more - described at same as domestic First Class.

Prices are ~2x economy, but 30% TO 60% of business class (day dependent) - so quite a bit of savings. Interestingly - on the day when the difference is only 60% it is because the PE price goes up, and business drops down in price to be much closer.

In reading through the data. we will try to get the bulkhead seats - normally we do not, but the seats are a bit different for AA on this plane, and a better footrest arrangement.

The  non-stop really cuts down the total travel time to just over 9 hours.

Thanks you for your help...I can book the flight on Monday when points booking opens for that day.

Thank you for your help

Now back to your regularly scheduled Food Porn...

VictOriann have a good flight home. You have missed a lot of rain, wind and ferry cancellations!!  However. No frost so the Dahlias are still busy blooming.

Premier Horgan had a throat biopsy today so we wish him well.

Covid cases still too high here, including on the island. I don't quite understand the high numbers given our high vax numbers.

You have been very brave to see this through, well done. Looks as though we will have to wait for our June Alaska cruise on the NA.

It is sad and rainy here in Barcelona - I didn’t know it rains in Catalunya!  We packed our umbrellas….  No one has been able to submit their ArriveCan forms, Hope it will go from the Airport.  They are already calling disembarkations, and it’s only 7:30.  We are yellow 1, should be 8 to 8:30.

we are definitely more “fluffy” now than when we boarded.  I won’t need to eat for a while.  Hope we don’t have to quarantine for two weeks.

Oh dear, your fantastic adventure has come to an end.

I hope the ArriveCan forms work at the airport 🤞 and you can go straight home with no issue.

Wishing you a very smooth and safe flight home and easy entry into Canada.  Thanks so much for taking us along ♥️. Your thread has been excellent and so enjoyable. 👏 Many thanks.

The sun has finally come out in Vancouver and Victoria, after a week of torrential rain.  It is a glorious day for your return!

I wonder what would happen if you didn’t have a smart phone to do the arrive can app given the strong objection to qr coded for menus on this board.  Seems like many don’t have smart phones.

Travelers without a smartphone can use a regular computer and print out the receipt.

Thank you so much for taking us along on your voyage.  I cannot wait to board Eurodam on 11/16 and, ,hopefully, post some food porn of my own!

You’ll have a great time.  The staff are so wonderful, and they have been through a terrible year and a half.    They all thanked us so often for cruising and asked us to cruise again soon.  We tipped a lot more this time than before, knowing what they have suffered.  Filling out the survey is another thing that many asked us to do.
