Don't every move from that house, can't imagine having to pack all the Waterford Crystal and China from those cabinets.

We got up early…hard to drag ourselves out of a warm nest of down duvet with two purring cats beside us…. Took second trip with two fully loaded Tahoes down to the new house.  Unpacked both pretty quickly.  I’ve got to be burning calories hauling box after box upstairs…. Now in a hotel for the evening 🍷.  Onward to Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow and Beyond on Sunday.  I need a rest!

Our bid for penthouse was rejected by celebrity but we do have a corner aft sky suite with a huge balcony, so we saved the 5k we bid . 10 am flight to Ft Lauderdale then staying at Hilton marina which will have a view of the port , curious on how beyond will be after doing Edge last year. Our pet sitter sends us pictures of our cat daily. Packing is almost done, martini time.

Since you love the spirit, I will have an extra slice at Sorrento in your honor. Going there in a short while to have a snack. Anthem had tree lighting ceremony ️ last night and it is looking lovely. I have lots of pictures but due to some technical issues cannot post them yet.

That is nice of you to make a sacrifice like that!

Looking forward to seeing 👀 the pics.

The TP and NZ cruise we ended up being very busy. The 6 days in Sydney after the cruise was the same. After the flight home we were so jet lagged. I think part of mine was I forgot to take some pills since the time was messed up and it threw me for a loop. I finally unpacked 3 days later to do laundry and repack. 3 days after getting home from Sydney I got on the Liberty for a loop. I was still affected for a couple of those days. Ugh! Mike got on after the first cruise and we are on the last one.

Feel like switching your January Harmony to Jan 28 Odyssey? The timing and pricing worked out better for me. I get a block on this cruise.  I would have preferred an Allure block but that isn't happening.

We used to keep the dining room table set with full crystal and china year round.

Now we gave all the Lenox crystal to Amanda, but kept the china because it's Black and Gold for Mizzou😉

Laura did keep the Waterford crystal flutes. It's the Millenial set. Even have the bucket. Need to look up the 5 toasts

It has been a very emotional couple of days. First our football team won our Thanksgiving day rivalry 55 to zero. Then I had to say goodbye to our seniors whom I have so much admiration and love for and whom I could write about for hours if I wasn't so tired of crying. So for now I will just leave you with tonight's sunset....

We had a traffic free drive to PA today, thankfully.
But to keep myself occupied while Andy drove, I put a deposit on a cruise!  Found another repositioning from the Northeast to San Juan next November.  Interesting 9 night itinerary (and really nice rates, too) on Jewel of the Seas.

11/9 - departs Bayonne NJ

11/10- at sea

11/11- Bermuda, noon arrival (with overnight)

11/12- departs Bermuda at noon

11/13- at sea

11/14- at sea

11/15- Curaçao

11/16- Aruba

11/17- at sea

11/18- arrives San Juan

i recall some here having sailed on Jewel and really liked her. What in particular did you like?

This is a nice itinerary!  We love this class ship. We have sailed Serenade, her Sister, several times and Jewel once.

I love the wonderful views from many locations.  I find the service to be more personal.  I like schooner bar and views better than most other class ships.   Same goes for Chops and Giovannis.

Also, love WJ and the outdoor dining area.

You will love Jewel.

Tonight we went to Black Whale and I had a dozen buck a shuck oysters for happy hour....Eric snuck one even though he is not suppose to eat anything raw.   We made our dinner out a bunch of half prize appetizers.  Perfect meal.

The fall renters left the home spotless.  Tomorrow I will steam mop living spaces and Eric will shampoo carpet in the bedrooms.

Might be too chilly/windy to pressure wash decks.

Are Minnie and Diana still in the old house?

Yes.  When we get home from the Beyond cruise we have one week to do more packing…then the movers are there for two days…then we drive down to meet them and watch them drop everything they are taking off the truck (hopefully just kidding) and the day after that our washer and dryer (I know this is a foreign concept to you 😜) are delivered.  Once all that is done we’re driving back to crate and sedate the cats  for the drive to the new house.  They can then watch us unpack for the foreseeable future.

I certainly miss them but I want to make the transition as easy as possible for my sweethearts.

55 to Zero? The other team was probably crying too. 😮 That's wonderful that the boys are nice, and you are attached to the team. Beautiful photos! ☺️

Lovely sunny Saturday  in Sydney.  Our plan was to visit a hat shop in The Rocks, then catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Point and walk back to the city.

That plan hit a major obstacle when we got to Darling Point Wharf.  It was a very high tide and windy and the two deckhands were having great difficulty safely getting the gangway roped to the wharf.  DH and I were the only ones getting off so we could clearly see how much difficulty they were experiencing. The gangway was bouncing around like a hot potato and barely reaching the wharf. The captain manoeuvred the ferry a couple of times and joined the deckhands to observe the gangway but eventually he said to us and the 10 people waiting to board the ferry, sorry guys I cannot safely dock here.  So back to Circular Quay we went.

So back at Circular Quay, we had lunch at City Extra eatery opposite the ferry wharves. It is also the location of  luggage storage company Bounce.  Clearly a lot of Ovation cruisers were using it as there was a cordoned off section in the eatery that we could see from where we were seated that contained many suitcases.
