Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

@lenquixote66  IU is a great university--I hope your grandaughter loves it there. It's a beautiful campus.  IU and Purdue basketball is amazingly popular here.   The month of March "March Madness" is just crazy popular here.

She does love it there .She is in the Honors program and has been doing very well. She also became friends with one of the players on the Woman’s team. This young woman was in my house last May .She had a 6 hour layover between flights and spent it with my granddaughter and family.

I read an interview with Mike Woodson Coach of the Men’s team in which he mentioned that when he was growing up in Indiana he was a huge Pacers fan primarily of Roger Brown.Roger and I were friends in HS and

my granddaughter conveyed that to Woodson. He called me a few months ago and we had a great conversation.

I'm not a big football fan, but I watched the 49'ers/Packers game yesterday, and the Chiefs/Bills game today. And then Bill was all of a sudden interested, of course. 🙄 They were both good games. Kind of thrilling with the back and forth and low point spread. All four teams were playing really, really well. It will be interesting to see who makes it to the final two. And it looks like another lackluster Super Bowl halftime. ☺️

We are packing to move. I seriously pared down the number of books. But it is still a lot, and they are way too heavy. I still haven't made it over to the small, and full closet in the spare room. Article said, the average home has 200,000 items. Even with tossing/donating/selling all kinds of things, I am starting to believe it. 🙄

Cute cake.   It must be something about boys, and their 5th birthdays.

My California grandson had a truck cake for his 5th.  I may have posted these before.

The lady who did this, did a lot of special baked, decorated items for George Lucas.

Very talented. Everything was edible, including the checkerboard base and tires

My job was to balance that, as we drove 10 miles from the baker to the birthday venue.  Not an easy task.

When he missed it my first thought was Scott Norwood. I feel bad for the Bills fans. They have a great team and Josh is still one of my favorites.  It was a great game by two great teams. I did not think we would win but Mahomes continues to amaze me. Sorry buddy blame it on Taylor.

Congrats on the win Greg.  It was a tough ending to watch.  My only consolation is that the Bills went farther this year than I thought they would after so many injuries to their defense.  I wasn't sure they would even make the playoffs.  It caught up with them last night against Mahomes.  There wasn't enough quality left in our LBs to handle Kelce or Pacheco.

KC at Baltimore should be a good game, but I don't really want to see either team win.  My years in Cincinnati always have meet rooting against Baltimore, and I'm tired of seeing KC there year after year.  Add me to the list of those pulling for the Lions to win the Super Bowl.  I did enjoy watching Jason Kelce celebrating with a Blue Light.

The number of Swifties that are already plotting how to be at Disney World the day after the Super Bowl "just in case" is kind of amusing.

Enlighten me please? I will stay clear of the area!

There is typically a “victory parade” with the winning Super Bowl team in the Magic Kingdom the day after the Super Bowl. Since Taylor is dating Travis Kelce, they are assuming if the Chiefs win he would be there and she might be as well. So they want to be there to see her just in case.

@lenquixote66 Happy 57th Anniversary to you and Toby!

We had a very busy weekend. Cristina and her family came up from PA to join in celebrating the shared birthday of SIL Matt and our youngest GD Ellie on Saturday.  A kids party during the day and in the evening we all went bowling which was a ton of fun.
Yesterday I went to a Jazz Brunch at Ocean House (a fancy resort & restaurant) with a group of dear friends.   We were seated window side, literally overlooking the home (or is it former home?) @Ocean Boy’s famous neighbor.

I’ve been busy doing some redecorating in our spare bedrooms. New bunk beds in the grandsons room to make room for the small crib, plus new paint and area rug.  Granddaughters room will be up next with the crib moving out of that room.
Also on my agenda this week is beginning a purge of all the closets to hopefully get rid of all that stuff we hold onto “in case we need it someday”.

Stay warm everyone!

Yes I felt bad for you as I know how much of a Bills fan you are. When Hardman fumbled the ball at the goal line I knew the Bills would win the game. And that missed field goal, I have been there with a few kicks being missed by the Chiefs in years past leading to a loss. And who doesn’t love Jason Kelcie. He’s the ultimate football fan. Chiefs will have a tough time with Baltimore and Lamar. I have predicted it will be a 49ers and Ravens superbowl. But I’m just fine with the Lions being there too. Gotta love their story and it’s nice to see them have success.

I see. Thanks.

Not a sports fan so I wouldn't know A from B. 😆 Not a good candidate for Sports Trivia!☺️

I only know because my sister used to work at Disney World and talked about the various champions' parades they have (she got a glimpse of Michael Phelps when he had one). And I have a few "Swifties" in my greater circles who have been talking about it.

I don't know if they did them before they started the "Football Player X, you've just won the Super Bowl! What are you going to to next?" "I'm going to Disney World!" ads in 1987 or not, but they're a regular feature now.

Unfortunately, we are not basketball fans.  I know that is a travesty living in Indiana, but we are transplants here.   We grew up in Chicago and are mostly baseball fans--we always root for our Chicago teams.

My husband and I can relate.  We live in the Dallas area and are NOT football fans at all.  Dallas, where football is a religion and HS pep rallies are held during school hours and attendance is mandatory much to the delight of the students. 😄
