Thank you for your kind condolences.

Sadly he never tried to make peace with our Sarah and ourselves.

That is so unfortunate. You never know when it is going to be too late.

Waking up in Lexington Kentucky, going to her aunts 80 birthday party later she was a nurse for VA )veterans) for many years. Some weird looking people at hotel since we are a block from Comic-Con .

Thank you.

Like most of our celebrations it comes from the Christian Calendar and is the fourth Sunday of Lent ,  Mothering Sunday , a day in centuries gone by for those to go home to visit the 'Mother church' and their mothers.

My work colleagues who had families living abroad always had to remember to buy a card now to send to their mums in May as they weren't available to buy here in May

Happy Mothers Day to all celebrating today.

Thanks for the explanation.

If you get a chance, check out Local Taco on South Limestone.  It's a popular UK place with great tacos.

Sad to say we are home from our cruise but thrilled to see our kitties.

Sorry @Ocean Boy no sunsets were posted.   Every morning that i wake for sunrise was cloudy and unworthy of posting.   No good sunsets either.

We had decent weather but would have liked more sunshine.

I secured my Prime casino status up thru 3.31.2025.  Eric had his secured on our cruise last Sept.

I did well on Friday night but left about $1,000 in the hole.   Which is okay considering the casino perks...free OVB cabin for 2, free cocktails, free bottled water, and reduced internet for this sailing.

At breakfast this morning I saw a 3 or 4 yr old boy grab his dad's mimosa and drink it while the parents sat on their phones.   Then watched the boy drink the pitcher of creamer.

I wanted to say something but thought best to mind my own business.

Then outside the terminal while waiting for our Lyft home I watched this woman try to negotiate with uber driver to pay $60 instead of $100.   She was getting very upset and Everyone was telling her they don't negotiate and will charge her a cancellation fee.   Her husband stood off to the side just shaking his head.

People🤣🤣🤣

Could you just get the cabinets refaced with new doors, and then hardware? If the layout is fine? Replacing cabinets is a big (expensive) job.

We are just going to buy a new refrigerator (stainless) that fits in the allotted space and other appliances before we sell. The new owners can always sell them and purchase what they prefer. Turn-key houses are kind of expected, and more popular here.

After the tree fell on my mom's house, she has better and newer appliances than our ancient ones that we have here. 😀 Fingers crossed that the Kenmore refrigerator will keep working until we move. It is making kind of an alarming noise. 😀

The cabinet guy said making new doors to fit are also pretty expensive. I know white cabinets are now popular and I like wood cabinets.

I'm thrilled with my new condo. So much space idk what I'll do with it all. I want maybe beds in all 3 bedrooms for guests. My sister and bil travel with his daughter. I'd like new living room furniture, I hope there is a place near by that delivers. Wish I was already moved, but still stuff here to finish up. The cabinet guy called but I'm not ready to commit to new cabinets until I'm there. My little oceanfront condo I wasnt there. I wanted upper cabinets white and lower a light grey. He did them 2 tone. Both colors on each. By the time he sent pictures was too late. It accomplished what I needed and I wanted him out. But I wanted them painted different. I really think I need to be there in person when the kitchen is redone. Hard to wait to move.

The falling tree sort of crushed all of the appliances into the basement. 😀

But it looks very nice now. Small. But nice. That is going to be difficult to get used to.

When did the tree fall?

We didn’t want white cabinets in kitchen when we redid ours last year. Very happy with our grey cabinets.

I like grey too. After I redid the 1st condo in grey, even the flooring is grey. Supposed to be the color of driftwood. Then I read grey is now out. Hahahahaha. Too late. I still like grey.

Planning on this being my forever home so I really think I need to be there to see colors and styles. Not pick from here. He was supposed to call back with quotes. I'm still waiting. Idk what price range hes talking about. Cabinets can run 10k to 40k. Big difference.

Graham @grapau27 , my sincere condolences to Sarah, Pauline and you for the loss of Sarah's dad.  Loss within the family is so final and hard to deal with even when you are estranged from each other.

@grapau27

Sarah, Pauline & Graham,

Heartfelt condolences. Sue said it so much better.
