Well, here it starts again.

I just read that NCL has cancelled 3 early January sailings (1/5 and onwards). It was reported that some cruisers are already in Miami. (I believ eit is Jewel, Breakaway and one more)

Getaway is one of the cancelled.  Was supposed to sail tomorrow.

I can’t understand how the Bachelor and Bachelorette are still going🤨

Never watched an episode but appeals to the young single demographic.  We have Married at First Sight here too which is equally as bad IMO but is hugely popular.

Big Brother was another reality show that was huge which I never watched. Started in the UK. Then we had our versions. Don’t know if it made it to the US?

My bad, March '23

March 2024 is leg 2 of World Cruise. Should be down under.

Bella 2 may be November 2024 from what I hear

John what's the plan for Bella on the World cruise? I imagine you and Laura will miss her greatly.

That had to be very scary.     I have heard air horns will scare them off.    Of course, the puppies would be scared to death if they hear that too.

Anyway to put a full fence?

Not real doable. Plan for now is to do what @Vibe suggested leash them but also keep a air horn close by to scare them. I've also read sprinkling cayenne pepper keeps them away.

I agree. The first season it was on I thought that it would only last a couple of seasons.

Hi Mark!

Tell us about who was left behind. Read something a little while ago.

I know the same as what you probably read that 8 got left behind.  We were an hour and a half leaving Nassau.  They were making a number of announcements in Spanish, looking for people.   I know there are a lot from South America and from European countries on this sailing.

The ship is rocking a little as the captain is making up time on our way to St. Martin.  Will be there Thursday afternoon. Talked to some first time cruisers that are disappointed in missing out on ports and excursions.

Meanwhile, we are listening to some good tunes in the Music Hall.  Had to stop at the casino after dinner. Did have a little luck.  Never realized the numbers flash in sequence so that not all show up in the photo.

I read that one of ncl ships doing a 14 or 15 day sailing including panama canal has turned around after 3 days and is heading back to Miami as key crew members have covid.

I'm thinking that could be bridge crew maybe captain.  Your guess is as good as mine.

Did I hear right?   The US had over 1 million new cases in one day.  That's crazy.

Yes we have Big Brother and was very popular.  I have watched a little of each and decided not for me.

I had an adventure this morning.I was taking my after breakfast vitamins and one got stuck in my throat and I could not swallow.Drinking water from the glass did not help.I then reached for the gallon of water that was on the counter and drank until I swallowed the pill.In the past I have lost the ability to swallow due to having Parkinsons resulting to vists to a hospital but this was different.

Has your neurologist suggested speech therapy ?  Vocal exercises help build swallowing muscles.   You can always split vitamins to see if that helps.

Check out  trembleclefs.com.  They are on-line right now.  Otherwise, they meet in west and southwest cities.  Best of luck !

I have pictures of myself and a friend at the time in the snow.

I never had a desire to have pictures taken of me in the snow.  Apparently, my parents felt the same way.  Somewhere, in storage are pictures of my daughter in the snow with the requisite snowman.  I have a bajillion pictures of her in Spring and Summer but just a few in Winter and Fall, not two of my favorite seasons.

If I only had a proper camera, I would get a glorious shot like this

He's gorgeous but must be a pet. He has an amputated wing. Poor thing.

And Greg, don't bother with Cayenne Pepper. It doesn't do anything after it gets wet. Air horn, metal can with lid and rocks in it to shake, cannister of pepper spray are all better deterrents for coyotes..

Same here.  my parents have bajillion pictures of my Brother and I down the shore, spring/summer sports, etc etc but very few of us playing in snow.

And same for our boys.

How lovely is this.Taken just now. Cockatoo in the Christmas bush.  Sorry for the poor quality zoom but if I tried to get closer he would have flown away, which he did as I tried.

Currently on the Navigator and today we were denied disembarkation in Puerto Vallarta because 0.47% (yes, less than 1% 🙀) of the crew tested positive.

No reported passenger illnesses.

Not sure why the crew was tested as they aren’t allowed off the ship.  I feel bad for those that have traveled long distances for these Mexico ports.
From what I have read elsewhere, it was the local jurisdiction that made the decision.

I was listening the other day to John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High.  One lyric stood out to me “…coming home to a place he’d never been before.”  I think of the “friends we have yet to meet” here the same way.  Comfort and solace from friends you haven’t met yet.

I've always liked that song.🙂

Next time try something thick like ice cream. Often times it will take something that is stuck down with it.

We have a dvd with all my family pictures including a few in the snow while living in Brooklyn when we were small in 1950’s .

😲 just made final on our Feb cruise on Mariner, went back and forth far too many times but bit the bullet, got too good of a deal to pass up.  Still have the 48 hour cancel clause but hoping things chill by then.  Hearing cruises get cancelled is not what I want to hear right now.
