Yes, I understand but if you are going to try to go into the rough surf at least do it in an open space just to see how powerful it is, don't do it near concrete piers.

Yes, really with so many people suffering and property lost right now, don't think now is the time for those kinds of posts. Just sayin.........

Did you see the fan that just missed catching the ball? The Blue Jays players in the bull pen got it and passed it around for a while and then finally gave it back to the Yankees. Judge finally got it back and then gave it to his Mother.

They are now saying the ball is worth between $200,000 to $2 Million.

I just replayed it, glad I have this on my dvr not going to delete it for a while , I sure # 62 will be worth a lot also , hopefully he will do that Yankee stadium this weekend.

Specialist said cut out.

My GP gave me an antibiotic/steroid cream 2 weeks ago when she took this photo and it looks a lot better now but specialist indicated it was a BSC.after close look.

Sorry to hear this, Graham. I hope the scarring will be minimal. 😞

I came here this morning to see how the FL people made out (thankfully it seems not terrible - or at least not as bad as it could’ve been) and to my surprise, I see that @John&LaLa John is posting again. Welcome back.
We’re in PA until Sunday, babysitting our youngest grandson. Our oldest DD & SIL are taking the two older boys to Washington DC for a little educational trip.
I just made final payment on our January NCL cruise.  We were supposed to cruise with friends next June on NCL Getaway, but NCL cancelled it due to redeployment of that ship.  The only time that worked for our friends was January, so we’re all on the Encore 1/29/23.  It meant cancelling the 1/8 Harmony cruise as doing both just wasn’t feasible.  But the consolation is we’re scheduled for a Tortola stop which means Jost Van Dyke - I booked the NCL catamaran excursion there this morning. @Sea Dog I’ll provide a full report for you, with pictures.
I’ll be checking back for more updates from our FL residents & hoping for good news.

Oh how exciting. I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Have a Pain Killer for me at the Soggy Dollar Bar. You are in for a treat.

Love it, I have been a Yankee fan all my life , love that Roger Maris son was sitting next to Aaron Judges mom.

What a beautiful baseball moment.

I think we all feel for the people who are affected by the storm.  We all worry about them.  It is sad to lose property but it can be rebuilt.  The important part is that everyone is safe.  Humor is the way humans deal with stressful, scary situations.  That is why people laugh during funerals sometimes.

Speak for yourself (as I know you will). I’m still in the path and greatly appreciate the humor.

Welcome back John!

For those who use YouTube TV, I just learned a couple of things. Since internet access wasnt great on our Alaska cruise, I tried to download Survivor and The Amazing Race from my YouTube TV library to my iPad. That way, I can watch them without needing an internet connection or having insufferable buffering waits. First thing I learned, you can’t download a show until a week after it was broadcast. After waiting a week to download Survivor from my Vancouver hotel, the second thing I learned is that I can’t use YouTube TV (including downloading) from Canada. Our first cruise stop is back in Seattle where I’ll be sure to download both Survivor and Amazing Race to watch on the ship.

We just started watching Better Call Saul and I downloaded the first 3 seasons on Netflix before we left home. We’re into season 2 now and are hooked. I’ll download another season for the crossing.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LUCY!    Some extra treats for her?    She is one lucky Kitty to have such a loving family

Last night we picked her up coming from Owen’s ball tryouts at 9pm, half a mile from home. We saw her in the ditch, stopped the car and picked her up.  We gave her a ride home and some snacks, as she was gone for 30 hours. She was headed to the neighbour’s barn for adventure, so we do not know if she was unhappy without actions or pleased as we saved her the walk. 😂

61 years since 61. Aaron Judge has written his name alongside Roger Maris in baseball's record books.

I've been recording the games as well & then fast forwarding them to watch Judge's at-bats. I almost didn't record last night as I got home late.  Glad I did.

#62 will be the big one. Hope he does it at the Stadium this weekend too. I wish I could go but have other plans for this weekend. It was electric last week when I attended 2 games as he was trying to tie Maris record. Every time Judge had an at-bat, the crowd would get deafening loud & then totally silent just as the pitcher was about throw. Surreal.

@John&LaLa  Is this true? A Month of Monopoly over a Meme?

I can understand if it was b/c you were in midst of a late night pro-mask vs anti-mask debate  or if someone insulted your favorite ship or "Are all Pinnacle's bad?" argument. Not sure a joke is worth the time out.

JMHO and YMMV, etc, etc.

P.S. Glad your back & looking forward to the first @John&LaLa vs @Jimbo tussle.   (j/k 🤣)

I had low expectations for Better Call Saul as spin-offs usually disappoint. But I really liked the character & the actor so I gave it a shot. Took me a awhile to warm up to it as it can be a bit slow-moving at times but by season 2, I was hooked as well.  Love that we get to see a few other of our favorite  Breaking Bad characters in their pre-Breaking Bad lives. Very interesting to see Jimmy McGills slow transformation into Saul Goodman (It'sss Allll Good Man).
