Honestly this is so so far down on my when will cruising return to somewhat normal checklist .

First comes cruise ships actually sailing and the removal of national travel restrictions . Then comes being able to enjoy standard activities such as shows , not wearing masks, going on unescorted excursions and being able to socialize . After that we get to another 50 or so activities like enjoying the lounges, shops, bars to say nothing of the removal of pre and post covid cruise limitations . Finally we get to such things like slot pulls, meet and greets and cabin crawls all of which I like ! So yes I want a return to normalcy but but this is very far down on my mental list .

I wasn't a big supporter of Cabin Crawls before the pandemic.  I don't see the appeal of having a large group of strangers mill around my cabin. I much prefer an M&G in a public place maybe followed by a slot pull.

Let’s hope so.

Oh, lord, yes. Thank you. I think the entire thing is just plain weird or something. I can find photos of everything online. I don't need to walk into a stranger's bedroom.

I'm not interested in it but why care if other people like it?

Why do you hope that? Even if you don't like it why can't other do it?

Noisy crowd wandering around hallways.  Disturbing neighboring cabins.  Drunks banging on the wrong cabin doors.  We've experienced all of these thanks to cabin crawls.

I can understand not wanting that.

I have also experienced disturbing neighboring cabins and drunks banging on the wrong cabin doors but not because of cabincrawls.

Why would there be "Drunks banging on the wrong cabin doors." on a cabin crawl ? I think you're confusing it with a pub crawl .

"Just wondering your thoughts. . . "

Really a guess on my part.  I think by the time cruises are allowed cabin crawls will be an OK activity.  Those that like them will be able to enjoy again.  Those that don't like them will have ample opportunity to complain about them on CC!  😀

I attended some early on. To be honest, we not to socialize but to see the features of the rooms. Post COVID, I can't see resuming this activity.

I have participated in some of these.  Seeing the features of the cabins was my prime reason as well as getting to better know our Roll Call members.  They are fun.  During one cruise, one couple had the Penthouse Suite on a HAL ship.  That was really interesting to see.

It used to be that the participants would sometimes request Room Service to deliver a plate of snacks for those visiting their cabins.  That practice seemed to have "died out" in more recent years.  Thankfully.  (Like we need more food during a cruise?)

While I have never participated nor do I have a desire to so, I would think that these will return eventually in largely the same manner as before.  When will cabin crawls be back?  Summer 2022 would be my guess.

Agree that I would not participate in cabins crawls before or after covid. But, I don't see how the cruise line could stop them. If they are taking place in someone's room, I don't think they will be monitoring who all comes and goes from a specific room. They may not do any food or drink setups to facilitate them. But if you were to invite 15 strangers into your room, not sure how they would stop you.
