Sail Away party appetizers. Party was at 4:30 even though we don't sail until 8. Ship feels about 1/2 full but with the staggered boarding it's hard to tell.

I ordered a wine package when I got onboard. 2 of the 6 wines I selected were not available but decent replacements were available.

A bit about boarding. Two days before sailing we received notice that boarding would be by deck. Starting at noon Deck 10 & 11? 1 pm 8&9 and so on. Neptune and 4&5* anytime between 12-4. We arrived at 12:50 and were in our cabin at 1. Excellent process!

Sea view pool is empty by order of Environmental officer. Charter last week was a bit um, rowdy. It will be filled tomorrow.

I heard that.  Did the Nieuw Amsterdam respond to the Celebrity Reflection's toots?  I could not determine if NA did or not.  Certainly, there were many toots!'

They look great!  Such a good time!  But, crew members needing to wear masks?  

 

There will be many that disagree with me, but, such a situation would only be a negative memory of a sailaway if I experienced such.

Our TA is on the Odyssey of the Sea for it's Christening and the fireworks .

We are waiting to sailaway with you! We were actually the first people they let on the ship! We were onboard at 11:45 AM. We have a Family Cabana in the Retreat Area. Come by and say hello if you get a chance. We have the cabana on the Starboard side, Costa del Sol.

On many of our cruises the aft pool (sometimes both pools) has been empty on boarding day.
