Dreamcruise27 Posted February 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Just wondering if people are wearing/planning on continuing to wear masks on-board. If you are currently onboard, please let me know what it’s like on the ship! Thank you!
TeeRick Posted February 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2022 If I cruised now- No I would not wear a mask onboard. Just in the terminal and ports where required. 15
LadySpoilt Posted February 28, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2022 I cruise this month and am not planning on wearing one. Spoilt
kearney Posted February 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Only where required.. We didn't wear them on our December cruise.. so I don't expect to in late April.. except .. in places like the terminal. Hopefully the downward trend will continue
terri1020 Posted February 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2022 We'll be wearing ours anywhere where there are potential groups of people close together. Personal preference. Whatever you decide, happy, healthy cruising! 32

phoenix_dream Posted February 28, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 28, 2022 I likely will not wear a mask onboard. On land I may still wear one when I am in close quarters with others for an extended period of time. Truthfully it's less about worrying about getting deathly ill (triple vaxxed) and more about worrying about testing positive and not being able to take one of my four cruises in the next few month.

bigbenboys Posted February 28, 2022 #14 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Our cruise is from Alaska to Vancouver BC in June. So far we need a neg covid test to enter Canada. So yes I plan on wearing a mask when I want.
Rare graphicguy Posted February 28, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 28, 2022 On APEX now. Aside from crew, who are all masked, out of nearly 2,000 guests, I’ve seen two adults with masks. Given the requirement for full vaccinations and proof of a negative COVID test, I’m surprised to see two. I’ve seen one infant and one child (maybe 5 yo?) on board. Both masked!

upwarduk Posted February 28, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 28, 2022 I certainly would on a plane, as you’ve no idea whether people are vaccinated. 5
Jeremiah1212 Posted February 28, 2022 #18 Share Posted February 28, 2022 (edited) Maybe? Maybe not. We are booked again in 33 days. In the past 30 days there has been a near 90% decrease in US cases. If that progress continues I will be comfortable enough to go maskless in crowds, especially if testing requirements are still in place. Edit - I will do a KN95 on the flights, regardless. As far as I know you don't have a choice in the airports, planes and cruise embarkation terminals. 😷 1
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 28, 2022 #20 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Just in an elevator, when others enter, and on those very rare occasions when we wind up sitting in the theater or some other congested area with someone directly behind us. I really have enjoyed not getting bronchitis and/or other "shipboard" illnesses these past few years. 31
RickT Posted February 28, 2022 #21 Share Posted February 28, 2022 After two years of living with Covid I will still choose to wear a mask wherever there are groups of people. Although no longer required I figure why take any chance? 39

If you are currently onboard, please let me know what it’s like on the ship! Thank you! Just got off the Millie a week ago, was the first sailing with the revised mostly maskless policy. There were a very small minority of folks wearing masks but they're welcome to so and live their best life. Masks were supposed to be worn all times in the casino and theater and that did not happen with the overwhelming majority. With the sole exception of while at a table game when the Pit Boss Manager was on the floor, enforcement was nearly non-existent. I will also note, I asked a few crew members what the mask wearing policy in the crew only areas, they all answered the same way, they're supposed to wear masks but almost no one does and it isn't enforced; one said no one wears a mask at the crew bar. At least it's currently changing in a positive direction. 6
