Wow lots of charges for folks who don't buy the packages.  And the language for Alfredo's / Gigi's is murky.  Is the Prix Fixe a new option on the menu and everything else is still free?  Very confusing.  Carmen Roig is having a webinar to explain it at 11 PT.  I won't be able to watch it live but will definitely try to catch up later to see if she clarifies any of the ambiguity.

That was exact thoughts, same as you. However mass majority think it will definitely be a few to done there altogether.

Correct. New few for Standard starting Aug 12th

I'll be sailing, in the middle of a cruise on Aug 12th. Guess I will enjoy my "complimentary" room service for one more cruise...and I have purchased the Plus package for this one. So no charges - as before (and going forward).

Just saw the discussion on the other topic.  Hope we all get the clarification we seek!

Of course it’s all about profits .. it is a business, after all.
As for Alfredo’s, the only ship that I know that only serves pizza and calzones is on the Grand.  The Alfredo’s on the Royal has just as many options as GiGis does on the Discovery.

The Majestic also has Calzones

I'll be cruising for the next two weeks. Cruise ends the 13th of August. I'll be chewing my alfredos/ Gigi's food slowly as I embrace it's yumminess for what may be my last time receiving it complementary.

So before today's announcement my cruise personalizer showed that desserts and fitness classes were NOT included in my $50 plus package.  No such indication today (and these items are no longer marked as "new").  The items announced today are marked as "new" but there is now no indication that any of the new perks (since the price increase from $50 to $60) are not included.

where are you seeing this? Our Travel Summary currently shows only the 'old' PLUS50 benefits

I'm confused. Can someone boil this down for me like I'm a 5 year old?

Princess wants to get rid of the non-revenue generating customers.  Buy Princess Plus or Premier or otherwise be prepared to be nickle and dimed on your cruise.

How can they mark these as new when they are what we booked?!

Pretty sure meals at O'Malleys were not at all free prior to this.  Now with Plus I get 2 free meals there

I wouldn’t call it non revenue generating. We have 113 nights booked in the next year and it is thousands of dollars.  We are not on free casino cruises.  I’m surprised they are not charging extra for those or make them purchase the beverage packages.

Adding the beverage package would add an additional $13,000-$18,000 to our trips.

It may be “Exciting and New,” but

“I’m not feeling the love.”

There are a lot of people who can’t or don’t want to drink.

So I wonder how many ppl who used to ask room service to pick up their tray (I did) will just stick it in the hall?

Anyway can I split SD credit? I've got enough for 2× Gigis but not enough for the increase in Sabatinis

IMO, the merged threads (3 of them) ought to have retained the title @LACruiser88 used because it was MUCH more comprehensive and descriptive of the situation:

7/27/23:Princess Adds Casual Dining, Exclusive Service Delivery and More to Plus and Premier Packages with No Price Increases

What do you say, @Host CJSKIDS?

We booked the Plus 2 yrs ago and wondering the same thing ...

It's an "interesting" conundrum.  Guests who booked "old" Plus/Premier will get the new features, but guests who booked the old Standard (at which time all these things were free/included) will not and will have to pay.  It's the old things can change at anytime clause.

Just to point out a positive …

For the Plus and Premier package passengers, their added value is that they can eat at the GastroPub or O’Malleys, etc for no charge.
Since there is currently no increase in price for the packages (and I’m not saying there won’t be), this is actually a good thing for those with packages unless you enjoy getting pizza every day.

Not all ships have those venues though, such as Sky and Regal.
