Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises Merging Accounts Into One

Recommended Posts

I haven't gone back to check mine this week. When I went in last week, it didn't have my C&A # nor past cruises which go back to 2002. To clarify, that is when I started, but our cruises with Royal were 2006, 2008, 2011, # 3 in 2014, 2015 & 2017.

My two upcoming cruises are now being shown but they still are saying no past cruises. I did call last week and was told even though the Web site wasn't showing them that I was on record of having the other cruises, so hopefully they are still working on getting everything in.

Hi Gay. Try adding your C&A number in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard if it isn't already there. Once I added mine, all my past cruises showed up a few minutes later. Our most recent cruise was listed, but the points were not added into my point total. I called C&A who did have the correct point total and said they're still working on the site.

Is Countdown to Cruise working for anyone? It's a small feature from the old site, but I liked it. The menu option is there (on old looking screen) but not working. Otherwise, the site functions.

Not working for me yet, really annoying.

I have gotten that a number of times. I called them. At this point if I need something or want information I will just call them.

I talked to one person who said others have reported the issue as well. I then talked to a supervisor who said they are looking into fixing the issue but had no idea when (or if) it would be corrected.

If you ever noticed on your cruise history that a cruise was listed as "unknown," with a correct ship and sail date -- those are the missing cruises on our side of the website. C&A still has them in your history, but we members cannot see them at the moment. I have 2 past cruises listed that way, no idea why, and they are the "missing" ones. My point total is correct and I was assured this would all be fixed.

Emailed RCCL and they replied with 8 hours. They suggested using email address then resetting password. I can now log in but there is till a lot of information missing.

And now an update from Millie at C&A posted on Facebook, which provides absolutely no useful information. And no Millie, they aren't bumps in the road. They were (are) whole portions of the road washed away in a tsunami.

Dear Crown & Anchor Members,

As you may be aware, on March 8th, we launched website functionality with an aim for you to more seamlessly manage your Royal Caribbean Online Account. Our goal was, and still is, to improve your experience across all platforms, especially on your mobile devices. When the project went live, we hit some bumps in the road, and while we are working diligently to fix them, we are very sorry for the difficulty this has caused.

Since Michael Bayley’s communication on Friday, March 16, 2018, we have made substantial progress in improving functionality for the new Guest Account portal. There is still work to do, and we are in the process of implementing resolutions, as well as taking care of guests who have written us at guestaccounthelp@rccl.com. Once these urgent situations are addressed, we will be able to provide more information and insight into the next steps of our technology upgrades.

I want to make sure that we keep you informed, and remind you that you can obtain the most up to date information by checking in with us periodically - here, on our Crown & Anchor Society Facebook Page.

As always, we can’t thank you enough for your patience, and most of all for your constructive feedback to make this new technology the best it can be. You are important to Royal Caribbean, and we appreciate you sticking by us. It’s our mission to deliver the best solutions possible for our most valued guests, and this situation is no different.

Millie

Why in the world would they release any updates on a FB page, instead of placing the information on their web page? Oh, that’s right, then they would have to rely on their IT people to get it to work.

Don’t worry, they even brought in a specialist to make the transition smoother.

Yes, 2 Viking Serenade and 1 Song of America were always listed as unknowns in my prior history, even though they had been verified. My point total on the new site is correct, but those cruises are missing from new history.

:loudcry:

People are quitting and deleting their Facebook accounts left and right. Yet, the "official" communications from RCCL is being posted to a Facebook account.

It's my experience that sometimes corporations get so big, they can't get out of their own way.

However, after having signed on to my account, it's getting better. That's not to say I give any credit or kudo's to RCCL. This entire job should have been a flip of a switch from old servers to a new web site and design (that was proven to work) on new servers.

I kept getting that, too. I deleted my browsing history, then signed in with my e-mail address and created a new password. I had to put in a cruise reservation number from a confirmation, but once I did that all three of my booked cruises showed up. I still have to re-enter my reservation number, etc to get into the cruise planner for each cruise, though. That is kind of a pain.

I have a very hard time giving this any credence. At best it is spin.

  • If "we" were truly important to RCI it would not have gone live with a web site that was instantly identifiable as unready for use.
  • If "we" were truly important to RCI the new C&A sign in page would have had a clear explanation of the process of migrating usernames to email addresses.
  • If "we" were truly important to RCI, the company would have had a backup plan to roll back the site so as to minimize difficulties for its customers.
  • If "we" were truly important to RCI, its web design team would have taken a few minutes to think through the idiocy of forcing each account to use a different email address and not providing for the linkage of accounts into family and other groupings.
  • If "we" were truly important to RCI, the letters of "commiseration" would have been posted on the home and C&A sign in pages of the RCI website.
  • If "we" were truly important to RCI, the company would have spent some time getting us ready for the change. An email or two to C&A members. Perhaps a link in the C&A area or even the home page.

The "old" web site had real problems, many of which have never been fixed. Sadly, the new site has simply replaced some of the old problems with new ones while retaining others.

The destination is admirable. But my goodness paving the road with good intentions just doesn't cut it.

Sal, same happened with our March 2nd Navigator cruise. It shows in the past cruises section with the correct points, but the points haven't been added into our total points. I did call, and was told the same line... "IT is working on it". I received the same answer when I asked where the cruise details were and the area for cruise preferences and C&A choices was located. They told me it wouldn't be much longer.:D

Thanks Lorraine! Didn't think it was just me. My other cruise buddy experienced the same but, after she called, hers was just added a couple of days ago. I intend to give it awhile, since it does not change my status and next cruise isn't until October. Surely, things will be resolved (mostly) by then!!

We're right there with ya Beachammo!!;)
