Thanks for info

We have Jan 2020 sailing.

On cruise planner, there is a reservation option for qsine le petit chef but not the old style qsine

I thought le petit chef was only 1-2 nights not every night?

Linda

We are sailing next week and I just received a reply back from the shore-side concierge answering exactly that question.  She replied, "Unfortunately, the Celebrity Equinox does not offer the regular Qsine menu. It is just Le Petit Chef now. I apologize for any disappointment this may cause."

Thanks for letting us know.  I’m disappointed but oh well.  I’m sure we will find something to eat 😋

Anyone feeling a little disappointed so far by this "Revolution?" So much was done to Millennium Class. This seems more  refreshed rather than "revolutionized."

Seems that Celebrity is doing the same thing to the Solstice Class that they did to Millennium Class when the Solstice Class was introduced.  Somewhat of a half-hearted attempt to make those ships seem "new" at the time.

Comparing this to Edge is disappointing and to Millennium and Summit even more so. I feel a little under excited to sail in October.

Maybe I was expecting too much with all of the advanced marketing hype...

Honestly though, as someone mentioned earlier, how far can you stretch $500 million across an entire fleet?

With this being said, I really did enjoy the Silhouette when I sailed several years ago. I guess I was just expecting something a little more drastic.

Thank you all for posting photos. Looking forward to seeing a walkthrough on YouTube.

I don't think the S-Class ships NEED revolutionized!  They are great as is.  Refreshed it good...new carpeting, soft goods, refreshed cabins, and general all-around refresh.  But when the revolution included cutting off half of the Sky Lounge I was not a fan.  Just wish they had not included Le Petit Chef in the changes.

I wholeheartedly agree... We’re sailing for our 1 year wedding anniversary the end of August and I solely booked this ship for the Revolution... Man what a mistake that was. I’m disappointed and we haven’t even gotten on the ship yet. If they knew there would be issues completing the dry dock, they should’ve said so, but instead they continued to hype it up and even still they’re going on and on with the term “Revolutionized” when no more than a normal dry dock was performed.

Just curious as to what is missing from the dry dock that you are upset about?

Mainly the lack of updating to the stateroom. I was looking forward to the updated bathroom in the stateroom. The new veranda furniture is terrible and the new veranda table is laughable. Main dining room and buffet were supposed to be updated but weren’t. Solarium unchanged They still have the old cruddy bedside tables in the rooms. Just very poorly done and not worthy of the term “Revolution”. Refreshed would’ve been the better word to use. I’m still wondering what they did over 29 days other than the retreat Sundeck, new bedding, and a coat of blue paint.

I understand and felt that the ship was class leading at the time. For me, it's beginning to look a little dated. Personal preference solely.

I'll withhold judgement for certain until I sail in October.

You realize that they had to change this particular dry dock around due to an accident in The Bahamas...they were not planning on 12-14 sea days getting back and forth to Spain....I'm sailing on Sept 23...I'm just outside of final payment, so I'm sure you are outside of it.  Cancel if you think you're not getting your moneys worth....

We are looking forward to our second cruise on the Equinox, which will take place later this month.  Judging by the latest photos and on-the-scene reactions from cruisers such as Mari10, we are in agreement with others, including blueboro, that the truncated dry dock that was just completed has refreshed the Celebrity Equinox while leaving intact the majority of the ship's positive features.  Particularly when one considers some of the feedback about the reduced storage space in the cabins on the Summit and Millennium, we prefer the existing bathroom configuration, along with the current Sky Lounge and Sunset Bar.

That said, from a decoration and design standpoint, why is better to have a black-and-white stripe color scheme in the Retreat Sundeck area, rather than a Celebrity blue-and-white theme?

Agreed.

I feel it could have gone further to be truly "revolutionized" and taken more in the direction of the Edge.

But staterooms will be updated/refreshed...many already are apparently.  I know everything is personal preference, but I don't have a problem with the bedside shelves...like that I can be laying down and get what I need rather than having to sit up and open a drawer.  The verandah furniture, other than the table, looks very similar to what was there before and still has reclining chairs.  Unfortunately, seems all new ships and refurb ones are going to a small balcony table...not a deal killer for me.  Some question as to if Concierge has foot stool.

To my knowledge, there were never major changes planned for bathrooms, Main Dining room, or the Solarium.  The casino redesign was not done.  I know they did say the Oceanview Cafe was going to an open concept with different stations but that is what the S-class ships have now.

And, from what I have seen of the Edge, glad they did not go in that direction.  If I want to sail Edge, I can.  But I like that there are choices with differences.

Nice work, Mari!  I love it! Give the little porker a pat for me - hope to meet him/her some day!

Is that carpet as cool as it looks? It's hard to tell from just seeing a small area, but loving any carpet updates on those ships.

Glad you are enjoying the ship! Watch out that your little friend doesn't hog your martinis....

I do not want to cruise on the equinox and have it remind me of the Edge. I certainly hope not. I loved the cruise April 1st on the Reflection and looking for the same or better. Please do not screw with a good thing. Like the EDGE? Go on it.

To be honest no, I don’t like the look of much of the revolution and I think some of it is a backwards step if not a suite guest.

.......Marilyn...so the Sky Suites just have new beds and bedding?  Same exact furniture too?  If that is true, I believe that they are overpriced.  Please correct me if I am wrong...Just my opinion...maybe I just booked the wrong ship for my DH’s B’day!

I'm not sure what they had time to do. Those pictures are just labeled "Celebrity Equinox" and posted about an hour ago. The bedding looks new so it may be what its going to be (or maybe they will do more renovations as they can)? I've been in a Reflection CS and the LR looked the same (maybe new art, ? curtains, new lamps in bedroom?).

This was our Reflection CS:

Sorry, I misunderstood. I was talking about the CS. The Sky Suite looks pretty much the same if it is a picture after the renovation - looks like new linens (and maybe bed), art. This was the only picture that I saw of the sky suites since the EQ sailed on June 1. I wonder if Captain's Club would be able to answer the question about what was done and what might be still be done before your cruise.

Sorry - I still think the ship looks great overall so you could enjoy all the new areas. I would love to be in that Retreat Lounge, The sundeck has some nice areas and really like the Passport Bar and Craft Social. It looks like you would have a full-sized table on the balcony. My DH would be in heaven. 😊
