We moved to RS 6142.  It is really kinda weird.   They have a huge banquette between dining room and living room.   Usually it is against the dining room wall. We tried moving it but is about a foot longer than the alcove wall so had to move it back.   Very awkward.

This comparison will show what I’m talking about.

I really enjoy your blogs. Thanks for taking the time.  I followed you on the Silhouette last November as we had friends on that cruise with you. I’m sure this one will be much calmer and warmer. Enjoy.

Wow that is awkward. It doesn't even look right at all.

Is that tall cabinet on the right new?

It's either that it is new and no one told the person ordering the banquette or someone can't measure.

The webcam is on the balcony of the third floor (maybe second) left corner of the first condo building.

Can it be lined up with the edge of the tile?  Guess someone did not measure  before ordering that furniture

Jim this will be like the intro to the old Dick Van Dyke show when he walks in the door and does a flip over the ottoman.

Could it be covering something up on the floor like some piping or something.. just a crazy thought.

Thanks for providing a true "Out Loud" Laugh...  I was needing it...

Now  --  we are both showing our age w/ the Dick Van Dyke reference!!!

Which part of WI are you from?

I grew up in Dubuque (IA)...

My mother was from Tomah & many road trips to WI

Headed to Milwaukee for a family wedding this summer & on to Door County after...

Hello!

Lived in Green Bay for 25 years. Then moved to Stevens  Point (center of state) for another 5 years and married my beautiful wife, retired and moved to Daytona Beach FL.

My wife lived in Milwaukee- West Allis for a few years in the early part of her life.

Discovered cruising and just fell in love with it. Love to cruise when we can and follow others like Jim.

Thanks for contacting me.

Neil,

The crossing looks like it will be a nice smooth one.   I use a site often called Storm Watch that shows Wave Height Models in an animated fashion over the next week.

I have to agree with the above comments -- someone forgot to "measure twice."

Jim -- I hope you and Iain work something out with that thing, I'd be tripping over it daily!

I could see that thing would be my worst enemy. Id fall over the thing. Maybe have butler remove it.

Great to see your sail-away. Had butterfly's watching..

Enjoying your blog!

Our butler offered to have it removed if we wish.   We will see.    Strange thing is like an Elephant in the room one gets used to it and then don't even notice it.

The dynamics and demographics changed like the switch of a a light bulb.   Average age has jumped from about 45 to 70 and and the number of children on the ship has gone from 100's to maybe 2.

First nights are not a good judge of what to expect but last night the ship was empty and even Luminae was only about 1/3 full when we went to dinner at 8:45.   Lots of new staff.   Also as oppose to the Casino being so crowded to totally empty last night.

Luminae has a new Restaurant Manager who we have sailed with before and Captain Yannis joined the ship yesterday.

The menu in Luminae was the Filet Mignon menu that was the same as the last night of our last cruise so we chose the Prime Rib from the Main Dining dining menu.   It was very tender and cooked to a perfect Medium Rare as we had ordered.

Tuesday April 23

Beautiful day with early morning temperatures about 75  and sunny.   We have been clipping along at about 19.5 knots and seas smooth with a slight roll.

Iain- guess I waited too long and missed my chance, I was going to ask you to ask Frantzis if he will be coming back to the Infinity after his off time, i.e. in 3 mos. or any info on his future schedule, maybe you already know, or Berdos would know. Much appreciated!!
