Love the latest photos..quite a variety.  Did you enjoy this port?

The last minute man  truly did seem  blase. Usually at that point they are running!

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is an enjoyable city.    We have been there a number of times an for the life of me I couldn't remember it until the shuttle bus pulled away from the ship then suddenly remembered it.   Celebrity offered a free shuttle from the ship to the port entrance

There are three  main shopping streets that are pedestrian only and have hundreds of shops and restaurants.    There you will find all types of pedestrian watching cafe's and even a McDonald and KFC.   The shopping streets gently climb the hillside and culminate at a big park at the top of the hill.

Dinner 11/7

Amuse-boy was watermelon and cream cheese.

For starters Iain had the corn soup and I had the salad.

They bring the soup in two steps.  The first are the solid ingredients and the su is poured over it.

For the main course I chose the Poussin.  Iain is getting tired of the menu and ordered Mac and Cheese from the kids menu.

For desert Iain had a Bailey and I had the chocolate sphere. Yummy.   Instead of the flames they pour heated chocolate over it to open.

Did you book anything new?

We might next week but the fine print rules and conditions are becoming more complicated

We didn't book anything as we have 8 cruises already booked.    I do have one cruise I want to book so I might but not sure of the promotions.   Being Zenith prefer to book at a favorable rate with no or 2 perks as we already get Free Internet and Free Premium Drink Packages.

We have 3 booked after EDGE...one is iffy and one is a suite.( yay)

But we have  similar thoughts.  We are E plus which meets our needs for internet, laundry and free drinks/ nice coffees/tea someplace.

Looking  foward to your future reviews.

Thanks for another great review.  Have you had an opportunity to see a Royal Suite?  What are your impressions, especially of the small balcony.

I did see some and they are nice.   At the right price I would book one.   The balcony is small but I think that is the case of all rooms. Possible exception is CS compared to m-class.

Had a really nice Zenith lunch today with Captain and executive staff.

They served

Antipasti (4different)

Caprese Salad

Shrimp

Octopus

Calamari Salad

Filet

Lamb Chops

Eggplant Parmesan

Chicken Kabobs

Black Bass

and a desert sampler.

Way too much food and tonight is Chic night.   I ate sparingly.

The aft S1 balconies are huge - 163 sq ft. RS has half sunroom/ half balcony so unfortunately small (was the original plan for the CS so I didn’t book one on opening day when cheap and then they changed it to a full balcony and the price went up). 🙂 The  sq ft of the PH balcony is pretty generous but long and narrow with overhang. Edge Villa has a rather narrow terrace with plunge  pool. The Iconic balcony is quite generous, with sun and shade.

I really am enjoying the Celebrity App.  Nice to control temperature, lights, tv, drapes etc

Can also control room from wall controls.  For the techies you can switch languages and Celsius or F

You can check your room temp on your app from other places. I adjusted it and headed “home” when ready ( it automatically went up 2 degrees when when left the room to save energy, until we found out how to disable the “Go Green”  button). 🙂

I want to try one of the Aft Balconies.

I’ve got booze on the brain.... on previous cruises, I avoided the Martini bar because it was crowded and I just want a simple vodka martini with Tito’s. Will they make these lowly martinis at the Martini Bar on Edge at the $9 price point or at the Eden bar?   If not, where do you recommend I go?

This is the staircase I was trying to get hcat to take to avoid the Haunted Forest - you can see why she took a pass. 🙂

I actually love this staircase to the MDR's and the pendulum. I am surprised that the pendulum hasn't gotten much attention.

This actually doesn't even show the whole balcony. They now have loungers, if you wish. This is 11268, a popular S1 among Cruise Critic folk. 🙂

Just my thought. We were there early September, but choose to go to Puerto de la Cruz, where we had spent a number of holidays in the early 80’s.

Last time we were in Santa Cruz it was a building site, as they were re laying tram lines, so I suppose it put me off staying in the port, so thank you for the photos.

The attached photo of the Opera house, was taken as we left the port on 7Sept ‘19.

It was built to mimic the Sydney Opera house.

Yes that is the staircase just outside the Haunted Forest and adjacent to Blu.   While waiting for our lunch yesterday I looked over the rail and was amazed.  One thing I had never noticed from the deck below is the dial is slowly moving.
