Look forward to meeting you another time...so much gratitude for sharing your travels with us. Hope you enjoy the next few days.

Someone on the roll call for next week has asked about the stores on board. If you have a chance maybe you could take a look.  We were not impressed with stores in Jan.   Hope shopping  has improved...

Further.   Here’s some pictures of the “gift shop” and duty free.

It may just me but $25 for a hat and $95 for a T-Shirt seem expensive to me.

$90 might have been a sale.  LOL.  When I just looked they were $95.

Well, I might have to get one or two for friends... very GOOD friends, at that... LOL

Yet, for the rest of the gifts, it will be in ports for sure..

Then again, in a resort town that I frequent, they often have T-Shirts for under $30 and I think they are not quality... but similar to a quality whereby if I were in a pinch and needed something quick and for a one-time use, they work.. but those shirts which run between $45 - $60 are thick, soft and really appealing in terms of printing, I love..

At any rate, we shall see for sure... in a few weeks!

Thanks and bon voyage

You said  that you have quite a few more cruises booked. Any chance you will be in the Caribbean in March?

Possibly.   We have a March cruise booked on Summit but it was a place holder for a free cruise and we need to finalize what we are going to do.

Currently or next solid booking is for a November 2020.   I know we will have to do something before that.

It's not just you.  Those prices are ridiculous.  As a previous poster said, no amount of OBC could entice me to purchase any of that stuff.  As for alleging that the t-shirts on offer on Celebrity previously were junk, some were of lesser quality than others.  I still have and wear many of the good ones, all purchased for $10 on board.  The thinner ones are the recent variety.  So, once upon a time, they were able to sell good quality t-shirts for $10.

We're booked on the Edge for November 2020, really looking forward to it now.  Thanks for your great review!

I think I reluctantly paid $55 or $65 for my Edge t-shirt in December (either mine was a cheaper one or the price has gone up). It has bamboo fabric (that I never would have thought that I would like) and has turned out to be my favorite t-shirt. The fabric is wonderful in that it is somehow cool in hot weather and warm in cool weather. It has a lovely, silky feel and is very comfortable. I wear it when gardening on hot days - have worn it a lot and it still looks brand new. Worth every penny and I plan to get another one in a different color.  My hat is a favorite possession - got it for free, but had to take a trip to Medical to get it.😉  I like the Edge logo, but I don't feel as attached to the Apex name so may not buy any logo items on my Apex cruise.

This is the gift shop item I left behind .... a bargain at $55. 😉

Goodness, Bamboo doesn’t need to be that expensive. I purchased a king size bamboo cover and material (fluff?)  filled quilt for around the equivalent of $120 USD. Ridiculous price.

I always think it funny when people who have been swimming recently and are still wet then dash from the pool when it rains.

Hello Jim:

Thanks for taking the time to post your traveling experiences. I look forward to reading them. You mentioned a while back that you use a GPS app on your phone. I am looking for something to show my ship location and also use on land to locate various sites. I would also like it to connect to my I pad. My thoughts were to have the phone on the balcony table and then be able to see the same screen on my iPad in the cabin.

Thanks in Advance for your help.

Bill

I'm not much of a shopper - I hate the sale scrums that used to clog up that part of the ship but it would be nice to be able to buy a reasonable priced T shirt - I read on board they are $90? I don't think so😐

My wife bought a really nice world wildlife fund tshirt for 15.00. It was co branded with X.
