I only saw the very first movie but it was so different from any other film ever made.

It was too funny. I have a first edition paperback of George Lucas's "Star Wars" novel. Drawn characters on the front cover. I read it, good sci-fi, and maybe a year or two later everyone was talking about the movie. When I watched the movie, all I could think was, I know this story!

I went back to the book cabinet, and there it was.  A little thin sci-fi novel entitled Star Wars.

It is amazing what the franchise has become. :classic_biggrin:

TTOTD Buffalo Bills, who won today’s game 35- 0 against the fish.

The fish? The Dolphins? They lost by that much? 😳 Good thing they aren’t my favorite team. Come to think of it I don’t pay any attention to football at all. 🤣 🥂

You made a good move, Can't even imagine what 14 days on Grandeur would be like.

I don't want to spend any days on Grandeur.

What’s wrong with Grandeur? I haven’t been on her.

Radiance. Our favorite too.

Brilliance, Serenade, Jewel, Radiance 😁

We have been on the Jewel and Radiance. Love that class of ship. We did a TP, Australia and NZ cruise on the Radiance for 26 days. Loved it.

Tonight Dick and I celebrated our 60th anniversary at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
We can’t eat like we used to, but everything we did eat was delicious. My ribeye was perfect, but I’ll be eating it for the next couple of days!

Lots of leftovers for both of us.
or I should call them planovers.

I have a friend who loves garlic. When he has been indulging and we have coffee in the morning in the hospital, sitting across from him can be a challenge.

Eat too much of it and it comes out of your pores as well.  🤢

This is why I avoid people for the next day or two when I have had more than a little bit.

We nearly lived in Kitchener. When we were first married my husband was offered a job at YYZ and his best friend offered us his apartment and use of his car until we found our feet. But in the end we stayed in the UK

I couldn’t like your post, or comment on it, so hours later, I’m trying again.
I’m glad your cataract surgery is done, no more anticipating it!

I hope you have great vision again in a few days.

Thank you Jagsfan.

Since my successful phacovitrectomy with Epiretinal Membrane peal in February I have asked the consultant on several occasions when he will do the cataract on my other eye so I was delighted to finally get the operation done although by a different consultant yesterday.

This morning there is only a slight haze over the eye but the vision seems excellent.

Graham.

What wonderful photos of you both.

Pauline and I both said you look  beautiful and very smart.

Wishing you both a very Happy 60th wedding anniversary.

You both look far to young to be celebrating 60 years.

I'm really pleased for you both.

Graham xx.

This, is a sunflower in a neighbouring community. 23’ tall. The structure gives it support and the umbrella helps it weather any storms. At least that’s what they say.

That is amazing.  I wonder if that is a world record.   They went all in with building the structure to support it.  Even an umbrella at the top.  WOW!
