Thanks for all the concern. My house is okay

water came halfway up the backyard. My next door neighbor's house is flooded  Also my girlfriend who stayed with me  house is underwater but we don't even know how bad. She's going to try to see if someone will drive her over there today .lots of trees down in the neighborhood   internet very spotty

That’s great! Water in the backyard and downed trees are almost a good thing compared to what could have happened!

Just got done catching up on the thread.

Favorite TV show.

I must be in the minority.

The original  DARK SHADOWS.

I used to hurry home from school and watch it in the afternoon.

Take care

My kids were little back then, but still remember Barnabas.

Ian has made landfall about an hour south of us, been raining and windy all day.  We are fine here but watching all the issues along the beach.  Cabana webcam is out , here is a picture from a bit after high tide but before landfall.  Double whammy with Ian hitting not long after high tide.  Nothing like Florida but not good, lots of flooding the 1st couple blocks off the beach.

At least 2 piers have had damage, Pawleys Island pier is just about gone.  This is Cherry Grove, up almost to the NC border.  Still have a few more hours for the worst to be over.

On Sunday afternoon we were getting read to go to the home of one of my daughters for the traditional holiday dinner when my face became red ,very red actually.Toby took my blood pressure and it was 188/161.She said that could not be accurate because I would be dead.We changed the batteries and took another reading. It was 188/71,still way to high.I am on 3 BP medications normally and have had normal readings 120/70 since being on the meds.We called my daughter to tell her we were not coming.

The husband of one of Toby’s cousins was there. He is with the Rescue Squad of a NY fire dept.He got on the phone and told me to go to the local hospital .Six hours later my BP was 143/67 and I was allowed to go home.

I was feeling better but Wednesday I had a flare up of another medical problem which lasted till this morning.I feel fine now.

Glad to hear you are feeling better😃

I'm sorry to hear you have been unwell Lenny.

I hope you are feeling a lot better now.

Take care.

Graham.

I am feeling better.

Did you ever hear of the Record Label Tommy Boy ? That was the label that Coolio recorded on. I read an obituary about him earlier today. That was the label that was located in the building that my long time employer owned.I met Coolio at a building Christmas party in 1994 .

I did not take your comments as being negative. In the future I will be sure not to post anything without verifying .In the past on this thread I have posted about my personal achievements but from now on if I choose to do so it will only be with things that can be substantiated .As an example there have been newspaper and magazine stories about several of my achievements that I would gladly send to any of the people who post on this tread who I e-mail with if they so desired.

I never doubt any of your posts Lenny and imo it is great you share them with us on here.

I am happy for you that you have had a wonderful life and have many great friends.

All the best buddy from Pauline and me.

Founded in 1981 by Tom Silverman in New York.

I recognised some of the artists but being from the UK I did not know the label personally.

Here is a web cam from Fishy Fishy Cafe in Southport, NC. We stayed there last spring and will be going there again in early December.

You can see in the parking lot, there is a school bus parked. Water almost up to the top of the tires all ready.

When we were there that body of water was just like a lake, hardly any movement at all. The docks there now and boats are starting to move.

Southport is north of Myrtle Beach by about 60 miles, Southport and Myrtle Beach will be getting a lot of the storm surge as the Center makes land  fall south of Myrtle Beach.

I don’t think it’s working.

It's great to see you back. For the record, I believe everything you post so there is no need for double-checking or triple verification as far a I'm concerned, just as I believe everyone else when they post stories from their past or the accomplishments of their children. In the case of Mickey Mantle playing in the outfield,  I chalk it up to fuzzy memories from events that happened 55 years ago, not your intent to deceive or spread misinformation.  Lord knows, I have trouble remembering minute details of events from 10 years ago. 🙂

I've always enjoyed your stories of your past accomplishments so hopefully you choose to share them here as well.  Again, no need to post a source and I'm certainly not going to be triple checking every post you write looking for minor inconsistencies in the wording.  I have no time nor desire to to such a thing. Not sure who amongst us would. 😉  😇

So post away!!! 👍 Looking forward to it.

It's been a crazy couple of days and I keep forgetting to post an update.

Yesterday she was at the fracture clinic without me as I had an all day meeting for one of my consulting jobs...thank goodness for my mom who took her.

They were able to get the xray and CT scan from the other hospital and there was a small fracture.  they took the cast off and put her in a walking boot and told her to keep using the crutches for 2 weeks and not put any weight on it.  Funnily enough the Dr. she saw trained the person that treated her in Orillia initially.  It appears that I am attending to her every beckon call for another 2 weeks.

They went to set her up with an appointment with an ankle specialist in 2 weeks but he is off then so the appointment is in a week but they did say that it does not appear that surgery will be necessary.

Vikki was very happy to get the boot as she can now manage to get into the tub and sit on a temporary bench that I made for her

Thanks for the update Ken.  It might help Vikki if you book her another cruise 🛳 😉.   I hope it continues to heal good.

Glad you're feeling better now, Lenny. Hopefully, the flare up in BP was not related to anything here on CC.  Was there any specific reason or is it just "one of those things" when being on 3 different BP medicines. Sorry to hear you missed the traditional holiday dinner.
