I haven’t posted any pictures of my daughter’s cat Goose recently. He’s a great cat…very cuddly and lately, a little rambunctious. Teenagers.

He too is an indoor cat who likes to watch his “prey” out the window.

His latest trick is turning off the lights. Don’t ask me how he figured that one out.

I posted this before. My friends cat Duncan would sit on top of the TV  and hit the screen with his tail and the TV would go off.I guess that was his way of saying he did not like what was on.

Now this sounds like it would be a cool 😎 tv series!  Trying to figure out where the ice cube came from.  Throughout the series have a random 🧊 ice cube pop up. (😆 that ice cube popped up while typing 🧊)  Example, things start to settle down, you take off on a cruise,  walk out on the balcony and .... 🧊.   Your headed home, stop by Starbucks, start to drink your coffee and what is floating in it? 🧊.

Very creative !!

Goose, turn off the light.  Better than Alexa.

Where’s Lenny and I don’t mean the cat ?

Speaking of Leonard the cat 😉....I found a dead mouse in my washing machine today. Judging by the smell, it had been there for while.

How does a mouse end up in my washing machine? It's a top loader & I always would leave the top lid open after using so it to dry out for a day before closing the lid. Monday was laundry day so I would have closed the lid on Tuesday.  Yep, the mouse must've  been "hiding" somewhere in the innards of the washing machine drum & was trapped for 3 days.

Now, in the 28 Pre-cat years of living in this house, I've never had a mouse in the house. At least, that I know of. Never saw a live one, dead one or any signs left behind of one. Less than 2 months of having Leonard - Mr. Apex Predator that stares longingly at squirrels out the window all day long - I'm finding rodents in the house that he should be hunting?

He better start taking care of business inside the house otherwise I might start calling him Garfield. 😄.

For those unfamiliar with the comic strip, Garfield was a very lazy cat that made friends with mice rather than hunt them.

they took the cast off and put her in a walking boot and told her to keep using the crutches for 2 weeks and not put any weight on it.

Check to see if anyone around you has a Knee Scooter (I see them regularly on Craigslist here).

When properly adjusted for height, I find that they're so much more convenient than crutches, and you can put weight on that leg to keep from losing muscle in the thigh while not actually being weight-bearing on the ankle.

It's nice to be able to stand with weight distributed on both legs instead of having to use crutches to balance on one foot.  And you can put a bicycle-type basket on the front to carry things -- not being able to carry anything in your hands is annoying!

@Coralc Patti, I was getting worried about you.  Hadn’t seen any posts in a while.  Thanks for the “likes”.  Hope all is well.

Thanks Pat. ☺️ We just returned home this morning from Navigator. Express walk off, Uber, flying, more Uber. It was fun. I will post more soon. Clicking on "likes" is about all the energy I have. I* am just catching up, tired and off to bed. ☺️

Okay. It won't let me edit. But seriously, FOUR-time changes on a seven-night cruise? Two spring forwards and two fall backs to get us back on California time. Are people too dumb to just stay on ship time without counting on their cell phones? I really dislike time changes. ☺️

Today I was car-less.  Looked in the pantry and I had no bread or wraps and didn’t feel like soup, so decided to check out the newly opened cafe that is in walking distance in our neighbourhood.  Seems to specialise in coffee and has a very limited menu.  But nonetheless I ordered from the single staff member.  He said 15-20mins for your lunch.  I wasn’t in a hurry so said no probs.  Coffee came quickly and I leisurely read the paper.  In this time the staff member served one customer and spent the rest of the time on his phone.  After reading the paper twice, I notice a chef arrive with a bag of groceries.  He proceeds to cook and serve up my lunch. Which was delicious and worth the wait.  Clearly this is a”on demand limited menu” No sure how long this cafe will last though if they are surviving on mainly coffees.

On my walk back home, I popped into my friend’s place.  Co-incidentally it was at the same time her neighbouring property was having its first open for inspection.  So in between chats with me, she would periodically wander up to her letterbox (to check out all the potential buyers) At the end of the chat, I said “geez there is a lot of post being delivered on a Saturday”😏. House is going to Auction and owners have hopes of 2.8million.  Housing market has dropped in Sydney in the last twelve months.  We predict 2.2million.

Tom and I met in an elevator .We had many conversations and he invited me to their Christmas party.I came with two of my co-workers and besides Coolio we met many other singers. They were all very nice to us.I am not sure if I asked you this previously but did you ever hear of KAPE ? The owner of that label lived across the street from me in the mid 80’s

Sorry I hadn't heard of KAPE.

It is very sad news about Coolio.

Condolences to his family and friends.

I think someone here mentioned about getting calls, after they retired, to help with things at their old office.

Yesterday was my turn.  One of the new owners called and asked if I could come in and give them some guidance on a government project they are working on.  I was surprised how easy it was to slip back into that role, and I spent a few hours with them.

Of course, traffic was bad, and some people just couldn’t get up to the speed limit.

After spending some time there, I picked up Susan from my daughter’s house, and we did some walking.  I can’t believe how many of these we have seen lately, but they are moving more for mating season. (Yes, there are 4 deer visible and one hiding in this picture)

No pictures of dinner out, but after seeing Greg post all those great looking drinks, I had to have one.

A Carmel Appletini.

Today, football games and cheering, so we are headed in different directions this morning.

We will be headed out to Port Everglades at 10 this morning for our B3B on Allure of the seas.  Check in is 11.  I don't expect it to be quite as busy as our July cruise was. October is not usually bad.

Here on the east coast we really just had a little rain, and as Ian came across the state, we got windy with the west winds.

Our kids on the west coast of the state were north on the bad stuff, and had no issues.  They were planning a trip to Michigan to see his family, and with Tampa and Orlando airports shut down, managed to get a flight out of FLL, so they are now in Michigan.

This will be the last of our double point trips,  but our C&A points will be at 686 when we come home.

Since Allure will be going to Galveston soon, our next cruise will be Harmony out of Everglades in January. That will be the ones that will get us to the magic 700.

You two would be making me really jealous, except for the fact that we fly Sunday and board Mariner on Monday.

How many weeks are we sailing, you ask? 5/7 of a week.  If you see us in port, don’t be surprised if I flip you the bird. LOLOL. Just kidding.  At least we get one cruise with the extra points on top of the suite points.
