Looks similar to a funerary stele from a Templar cemetery. France?

As for the newest picture, somewhere in Italy maybe Tuscany or Northern Italy. No guess yet though.

Not sure. Actually, in the second photo that Daisi posted the colour is more black, which makes it the flag of Heidelberg flying on the castle tower.

Interesting idea. I like the red brick. The sky looks a nice Summery blue against it. Definitely appears Southern French or Italian or similar.

You are in the correct country. AFAIK, there is only one river that hosts river cruises.

Then it is probably the Verona area. Can be done from a river cruise on the Po River.

OK here we go. Name the castle where this room is located & name the river along which the castle is located.

Small hint; The trunk is important.

I only went to Boy Scout Camp, not Pirate Camp – so the trunk doesn't work as a hint for me...

Looking at the drawings of the three framed portraits on the wall, I throw a thought into the round: something to with the Dutch and emigration?

The trunk is either extremely large or the chair is a child’s version of a rustic ladder back rush seated chair maybe French rather than Dutch but it could be out of context. The trunk could be very! old. CA

Hence my idea that it is a trunk for storing all your belongings in while crossing the ocean to start a new life.

 

The chair does look small. I notice there is a low window sill which could even be a window seat to the right of the photo. Which also makes the building appear old.

 

Perhaps a heritage museum?

 

I think I will give my brain a rest at this point.
