I had to unsubscribe to stop the madness. Companies that do this dont do themselves any good. Once in a while ok. every day screams mass mailings and "I dont care"

I do not get daily emails from Princess. Maybe one every few weeks.  Go Ducks. Sorry Oski

Someone woke up and had the wrong liquid in their coffee cup it seems ....

I'd rather get daily emails from Princess that are mass sent than from a bill collector 😄  Sounds like getting emails annoys you, best bet is to unsubscribe from everything and close your email account!

Seems like a rather silly suggestion...

I set up a rule to grab all princess emails, mark them read, and dump them in a princess folder.

Should I care to, I can check the princess folder.

Yup, The wife and I unsubscribed from all cruise line emails earlier this week. Too much. I will re-subscribe in March or so.

I know that I’m not missing anything important.

(Also been unsubscribing from all other non-essential sites too. With varying levels of success)

end of the year mission.

Actually, I've quite enjoyed them.  Instead of being boring sale announcements or other marketing-type offers, they've been more newsy.   Plus, photos of ships!  And the ocean!

On the other hand, my bank needs to leave me alone.  I don't want to refinance my house, my car, or take out any other loans.  Nor do I need six new credit cards, offerings for which hit my inbox every danged day.  I'm this close to pulling out my money and stuffing it in a mattress (but then they'd just email me a low-interest loan offer for a new mattress).

I don't think that I would like daily emails from any cruise line.  However, we are Elite on Princess and last cruise with her was 60 days on the Coral in 2018.  In the past year I have received no emails from Princess.  We also cruised with HAL in 2019 and 2020 and receive an email from them every week or two which seems reasonable.

On a related note, how does one actually sign up to receive these Emails from Princess? We do get almost daily Emails from Celebrity, with whom we've only sailed once, but get no such Emails from Princess, where both of us are one trip shy of Elite. My Captain's Circle account clearly says yes to "Contact me about news, marketing updates, latest fares, specials or offers by: Email" but we still get nothing. Could it be because we use a TA and don't deal directly with Princess?

Same here we are elite and we do not receive any advertising emails from Princess. So we never know in advance of sales etc.  Have spoken to my PVP many times about the problem. She has checked with the IT department and we even changed our email address three times and nothing worked. Yes, Princess is in my address book so no need to respond that they are probably going to my spam folder as this is not the case. My husband and I each have our own email addresses and no advertising is received at either one. This has been like this for years so we just check the website on a regular basis.

I'm Elite and get lots of emails from Princess.  Some for sales etc., I just delete & move on.

Some are from casino which are comps, so I prefer not to miss those.

I'm also Platinum on NCL., haven't sailed with them in a few years.  I get almost daily offers

from them.  Same thing, sometimes I glance, but mostly just delete.

We do not get all that many email from Princess.  We have been averaging maybe one/week at this time.  Any emails we do not want. we mark any emails from that sender to the spam folder.  We can peruse the spam folder before we dump into the waste basket.  So no problem here.

I am getting emails frequently again from Princess. Had stopped for a few months but now more are mentioning health, confidence etc & now offering gift cards, 2021/2022 cruises. Also, call (message)  from Princess mentioning cancelled cruise,& future booking.
carnival cruises is sending me lots of offers recently.

For me, easy to delete.  I don't blame companies for trying different ways to keep communication flowing during these times.

Precisely!  I'd worry more if they didn't send them, if you know what I mean.  I have a LOT of FCCs, fully paid bookings, gift cards, etc riding on Princess.  I welcome any communication they send ... gives me a sense of security that they are still around (maybe misguided, though).

We are also Elite, and get almost none from Princess, but countless from Celebrity and Norwegian, whom we have sailed only occasionally. I WANT Princess offers, as many as they will send, so I asked them, and got a few a couple years ago, and then they stopped. Don't know why, but may have a theory: We are Elite, but we are not big spenders. They keep track of everything anyone spends on board. Neither of us gamble, neither of us drink. Maybe we are just not making them money? We do use largely Princess excursions, but still, makes me wonder?
