There's no such thing as "too much" OBC! LOL

Buy some excursions with it.

Go to the spa.

Get a specialty dinner.

Play in the casino .Then cash out your winnings.

BTW some OBC must be spent on board.

I don't know what kind you have?

OBC that you get as part of the cruise is not refundable but is used first.

Stockholders credit is not refundable.

Military and any gifts from your travel agent are refundable.

It takes about 3 weeks to receive the refund.

Won't help you this time I realize, but a tip for future is to find a TA that will give you a cash discount off the cruise fare instead of giving back money as OBC.  Less to try and spend, or if refundable, you don't have to wait to get it back from Princess.

I completely agree.

... the amount from Princess was good, but then the TA doubled it.  The cruise also comes with the free grats.  I have read how people play a bit at the casino and then cash it out.  How does that work?

Really.....if you have read about it then you must know.....doubt anyone is going to help you with this one when it is so easy to google.....get googling.... 🙂

This subject has been discussed here ad nauseum.

Please bear in mind that Princess does read these boards ... and the more often the issue is rehashed here, the more likely Princess will fix their system to prevent what you're asking about.

Lots of ways to spend your OBC, by the way.

I hope it doesn't change from too much discussion about it.

I got a big surprise on the Q2 last fall.  I had lots of OBC, and I played $200 in the casino to help pay it down.  When I went to cash it in they added it to my OBC and the $200 went on my bill as per their policy which only increased my OBC.  On the last day of the cruise I ended up buying myself another Citizen watch to use up my OBC.

I've got $300 nonrefundable and $595 refundable. There's no way we can spend all of that. I'm expecting to get most of the refundable back.

You can easily spend that amount but I would spend the $300 and have the $595 mailed to me approximately 6 weeks later.  Book a few excursions and a day or two at the  sanctuary and poof, it’s gone.

I'm sure it's true that Princess staff read this board and have been for years, therefore they've known about the casino trick passengers have been using for years to cash out unused OBC.... and apparently have done nothing to close the loophole. So what secret are we trying to protect by not just answering the OP's question? I know, uncle Google is your friend, use it. 🤨

Depending on where your cruise is going, there's also the Sanctuary. Purchase a couple of chairs in there for the duration of your cruise (at $30/day per chair) and you can quickly consume a bunch of that credit. But you'll have your own guaranteed spot every day along with attendants who will take very good care of you.

They did change it on X after many years of being able to do it and many posts stating how.
