As of tonight, we are both going on our cruise leaving Sunday.

I have been very busy at work getting things done before I'm off next week.

Eric was busy making phone calls.

I think his deciding factor was based on the fact his Brother didn't show up for his scheduled appt. Yesterday to identify the body and complete the forms required for her cremation.

Eric learned this morning when funeral home called asking when someone would be there.   Uggh!

Eric said he will go on cruise as long as we go to Chops at least one night and we can get a driver as he doesn't feel like driving.  No problem Sir😃

Chris will drive us up to Cape Liberty then we will probably arrange a car service for ride home the following Sunday.

Happy cruiser here😀😀😀

I’m so glad to hear you’re both going and hope you have a nice, relaxing week.

Today is our 53rd wedding anniversary.  Just doesn't seem possible.  Jack and I spent the day going to some of our favorite shops, had a delicious 2 glass Moscato relaxing Italian lunch.  Just enjoying being with each other made it a perfect anniversary.  I couldn't ask for a better one.

@Sunshine3601 Debbie so glad you and Eric both will be cruising very soon.  Time to relax, de-stress, rejuvenate and just.....be.

Happy (belated) Anniversary to you & Jack!

Aw  thanks for asking aussie, the baby, Theo is bonny and great, has his 3 month anniversary yesterday.

Little Isaac is OK,  got sent home from nursery yesterday with high temperature but it was back to 36.4 by the afternoon. Ongoing issues with allergies. They paid to see a specialist on Wednesday and confirmed what his NHS Dr said, definitely has milk, eggs, peanut and legumes allergy but not sesame or treenuts which is great.

Good chance he'll grow out of milk and eggs

Just waiting to see if we're needed today or if he'll go to nursery

My grandson had numerous allergies, or sensitivities, that he dud grow out of fortunately.  Still has big reactions to new things, seems his body needs time to adjust to anything new.  It's hard to see them go through it all.  Glad to hear both boys are home and doing better.

@Sunshine3601 so happy to hear the cruise is on, bon voyage 🎉

In addition to HBE4 @HBE4, @bobmacliberty hasn’t posted in a while.  I thought I might see something from him after his Bills beat up on the Patriots last light.  I hope everything’s okay with both of them and they’re just busy with holiday stuff.

I'm quite torn between asking about our friends here, who didn't post for a while, and between thinking that we've been "together" for a long time now in this thread.... therefore,.....

hopefully "they" know by now that we're here for "them", and "they" can "come and go" whenever they feel like it.

Quite a dilemma...  What are everybody's thoughts?

@BonTexasNY

Happy Anniversary

@grapau27

Yummy!!!!!!Thanks for sharing

@Jimbo

Love the new look so far.

I am sure you will be ready to be done with the remodeling.

So I exceeded my expectations   to the American Heart Association goal of walking my commitment.

I was able to walk 4-5  miles 5x per week for the past 6 1/2 weeks.

Guess I over did it.

Then, Achilles tendinitis of left foot/heel.

So no walking, only on indoor bike right now.

Doing my passive exercises to that foot and have a fitted shoe lift in place.......................always something.

So trying to increase my endurance and resistance on the bike.

Be safe

@dani negreanu Does your phone let you highlight text in a foreign language to you and convert it to Hebrew? I just discovered the option a week or two ago when looking at reviews.

Disappointed again in celebrity food , we both ordered prime rib which was about as good as outback , last year Prime cut on Edge was about 3 or 4 times thicker, dinner was not as good as Chops, I think it will improve , entertainment has been excellent bartenders are all great.

Oh that's so disappointing to hear. I wonder if the steaks were any better than the prime rib? I hope it gets better. Thanks for checking it out.

I think some of it may be the holiday season. I have got pretty busy with things. We have dinners or parties every weekend. This weekend I host another dinner party of some of our dear friends in the neighborhood whose sons all grew up with Jonathan. I have been busy in the kitchen today prepping.

Hmmmm this what we got before Starlink. So yeah not a faster speed.

Not sure why you assumed you'd get higher download. The vast majority of the cruising public doesn't know nor care what the off-ship internet connection is or its speed. They only care about performance and for that, most/some will see an improvement (due to the lower latency)

Sometimes, things may not translate well.  Evidently, I have called my daughter-in-law’s mother both a newspaper and a horse.

At least they thought it was funny. 😁

Each to their own. Thanks for jumping in!

True.  Even spell check  can mess things up or talking in the mic to text.

I have been surprised how good the translator has worked.  Here is an example of how it works.

I was wondering what Dani posted so highlighted and hit translate.

Knowing the content of what she was responding to, it looks like the translation was pretty good.

If it wasn't for the translator I would of had no clue what she was saying.

Translators and spellchecker can make things funny sometimes.

When I was at my long time job nearly every person working there was born in Italy.Several of the guys working there taught me a phrase and suggested that I say it to a female working there.After she slapped my face I realized that they played a trick on me.It was not an X rated phrase but just something that was not the norm to ask someone.

John, I'm speechless, the translation is spot on, not only "word for word", but in spirit too !! Thank you.

I admit not being "phone savvy" ... My son downloaded some "translation" features on my IPhone.

Just checked it, seems it is only for "conversing" with someone by typing the text in Hebrew and showing it in Greek, for example (that was for our cruise to the Greek Islands).

I think most regulars here would appreciate being missed and asked about when they disappear for a while.

I find the food situation totally bazaar, we have done at least one cruise each of the last 6 years on celebrity always in a suite and this is by far worse food , always did at least a couple specialty restaurants , last year on Edge Fine cut was totally great way better than chops. Doing Le Petit Chef tonight . At breakfast couple with the dogs were in front of us followed by another couple , the couple after told hostess don't dare sit us close to the dogs .
