Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" ​ 😁 ​day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Same as yesterday and all the days for the last year. Get up at 6:45am and brave the traffic on the way to my study where I work remotely, go to the bathroom a few times, watch the deer eat my plants that that everyone says they don't eat, eat unhealthy food, leave work in the study and endure the traffic on the walk to my living room, watch some horrible netflix shows, have some kind of dinner, go to bed and get ready for the next groundhog day.

Harrahs and drink service on the floor.  You can’t drink while walking around but can at the machines.  That was supposed to be a cosmo but I think it was vodka and cram but I enjoyed it!

Vodka & Cran is one of my go-to drinks when at the casino.  Good to  know they have drink service. I have no issue drinking at the machine. 

 

I need to visit AC soon. Perhaps after my 2nd jab.

We are looking forward to April 12th when we can visit outdoor restaurants and non essential shops open again in the UK.

I think you commented recently on my post about enjoying a cosmo now & then, that you’d  just had a really good one in AC.  The best one I’ve ever had was at the bar near the lobby check-in area at Harrah’s in AC.  It wasn’t on the rocks per se, but was in a chilled martini glass and so cold it had little ice chards.  Also perfectly blended IMO.

More AC chat.  We had friends who had a summer house on Brigantine Island, next to AC. When visiting, we laughed at the billboards proclaiming gambling was coming in the future.  Yeah right, we thought. House was the last on the block and a few yards from the beach. Pure heaven! We lost touch and never knew what happened to that beach house.

Yesterday we took some time and went over to Carlsbad for the afternoon.  We ate great icecream and enjoyed the beach.  The weather was still a little cool at 61° so no swimming for us.  Today, unfortunately is all work, all day.  Doing follow up from last night's efforts and prepping for tonight most of today and then back downtown for the evening.

Well, I must be in a positive thinking mode the last couple of weeks.  Over that time I have booked 13 cruises, trying to build up the bookings again after so many cancellations  😮 

 

Four of them due to invite from Cruise Wizard Gary, and this last two today,..... due to my sister wanting 65th birthday celebration with big sister along.  And of course, replenishing our lost bucket list to Australia again.  

 

Guess I figure if I start tossing enough against the wall again....something might stick again!  😉
