Generally for us it gets down to “what do you do for a living”. Hate that question.

Mr. Pcur always answers with "I am a recreational specialist".  They never get it.  They always ask him what park, sports club, team he works for.  He's retired...................................

That is a close second to my personal favourites...

"what type of cabin are you in", which is often followed by "what is your C&A status"

I try to avoid these conversations at all costs.

Understandable. I quoted John when I wrote that.

It was a group effort. @John&LaLa mentioned the list, @Milwaukee Eight gave instructions how to get the list, I looked at it,  you requested it and @marci22 actually delivered the list.

Go Team!!

I have a friend who is a gynecologist.

The subject quickly changes when he is asked what he does.

No one has ever in 28 cruises asked our C&A status.

Yes, she is on the first page of the top posters list. #4

Bob needs to come back to preserve his lead.

I've been asked quite a few times, usually by Pinnacles, but not always.

We have been asked multiple times too.  Most awkward time was first day lunch in CK at a roll call lunch.  Started with tell us your name, age and C&A status.🙄

We are often asked how many cruises we’ve taken. This question shouts novice as for RCCL it all about the points. We usually answer something like,  “we enjoy cruising and have taken several”.  We get this type of question generally at an open seated breakfast or lunch table.   Then the person who asked the question will boast they they have  taken some number and then says sometimes like , have I beat you?’  To which we reply, “it is not a contest.”  Then their comeback is something like “ that must mean yes”.

It never gets old!

We are most often asked

'Where are you From'?

To the best of my Knowledge we have never been asked our C&A status.

Pauline used to wear evening dresses every night and now she wears cocktail dresses every night and the conversation usually goes

I Love Your Dress.

Luckily we rarely get that type question.

Me either.  Guess we've been lucky.  Back when we ate in the MDR (rarely do anymore), sometimes a table mate might ask but as @grapau27 said, a newbie is far more likely to ask how many cruises we've been on vs what C&A level we are/were.

I know if it took 3 days for my undies to get back from the laundry, I would be complaining, too.  Just sayin..................

Too many Elites on Princess who get unlimited free laundry. That’s why it takes so long.

I love this perk (never cruised on Princess....just sayin' it's a great perk).  It's one of the things I love most about Star Class.

Go back a read some of the refund pages. Many start off with I’m Diamond or D+, like they feel because of their status, they should get faster refunds. 😇

I forgot about those. Those people are so clueless about the overall situation among all the lines. Those are the first post members who find cruise critic just to complain. They have no idea what this site is about.

We have been asked how many cruises have we been on many times but I can't recall been asked what cabin we are in or what our C&A status is.

We never use that perk on Princess or RCL.

Same goes with the cruiseline toiletries.

We always bring plenty with us to save any allergic reactions.
