Hoosierpop Posted April 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Not every day, but sure. All depends on what’s going on but I’d rather get a quick nap in the afternoon than miss things like comedy and a hot crap table.
Rare Essiesmom Posted April 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Absolutely. I hate cruises that have so many interesting things going on that I can’t fit in my nap. EM 1
susanl9532 Posted April 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Best nap ever - last fall on Mardi Gras, during an afternoon thunderstorm. 😊
Indytraveler83 Posted April 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2022 We will nap in the sun on Serenity, or as the above poster mentioned, storms are a great time to nod off too. Our naps are rarely planned, but sometime you just need it. I remember getting back from an exhausting day of snorkeling, and deciding to order room service at 3 PM. Food came fast, and we decided to eat in bed and watch a show to recharge. Then it was 9 pm...

Toofarfromthesea Posted April 6, 2022 #8 Share Posted April 6, 2022 I don't need a cruise to enjoy a nice nap. 5
navybankerteacher Posted April 6, 2022 #9 Share Posted April 6, 2022 (edited) Absolutely - I became addicted while in the Navy - knock off ship’s work at 1130 - finish lunch by 1200, nap till turn to at 1300. Then many years of civilian workdays made it impossible to feed my habit , but now back to that civilized routine. Not just while aboard ship, but a key part of being able to enjoy a full day anywhere. Edited April 6, 2022 by navybankerteacher
Rare frantic36 Posted April 6, 2022 #10 Share Posted April 6, 2022 (edited) Prior to children I was always a late riser but they had different ideas when they came along. So 5am was a normal wake time. I became used to it so even from when they were in their late teens I continued to wake early, thinking between 4.30-6am. Now I am older I have found an afternoon nap helps me to get to 10pm -12MN. My husband and I do this even when we travel to Europe or America. We find that 1 hour kip after travelling almost 24 hours on a plane helps us keep going. Edited April 6, 2022 by frantic36
dolittle Posted April 6, 2022 #11 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Also an early riser, an inside cabin is best for naps. 1

Rare sparks1093 Posted April 6, 2022 #13 Share Posted April 6, 2022 I don't sun bathe per se but lying in the warm sun in a lounger and dozing off, I'm all for that.

George C Posted April 6, 2022 #15 Share Posted April 6, 2022 I prefer napping in penthouse bed was super comfortable 😁, I definitely like a nap depending on what is happening on the ship.
Blondilu Posted April 6, 2022 #16 Share Posted April 6, 2022 I rarely am able to sleep when the sun is up. But, I do like to rest. There's something about actually laying down and letting the ship gently rock you that is very restful. Should I fall asleep it's only for a little while. Anything more I wake up groggy and grumpy. Joebucks Posted April 6, 2022 #17 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Some of the best naps are after some time in the sun and whatnot. I do feel like if I am napping, I am not properly taking advantage of the limited time I have on the cruise. Especially if in the cabin. I've taken some quick naps in the adults-only area before, and feel more satisfied with that.
rkacruiser Posted April 6, 2022 #18 Share Posted April 6, 2022 I have been known to fall asleep while sitting in a deck chair.
Cheesepleese Posted April 7, 2022 #19 Share Posted April 7, 2022 I too am an early riser. Quite often on a cruise, I will hang out in the solarium and enjoy a soak in the hottub and when I lay on a lounger with a towel over me I'm off into lala land pretty quick. Very relaxing. Cheers.
Rare neongoddess Posted April 7, 2022 #20 Share Posted April 7, 2022 A cruise nap is the best nap. I like to work in a nap somewhere between 4pm and dinner. Sometimes on the Serenity deck but usually in my cabin. Wake up ready for the evening.

14Terry Posted April 7, 2022 #22 Share Posted April 7, 2022 I’ve been known to take naps between 2:30 until 4pm (another early riser here). Naps on cruises are good for the soul 😊!

kochleffel Posted April 12, 2022 #25 Share Posted April 12, 2022 I like to nap on sea days, or if I get back early enough from a shore excursion. Sometimes it's inconvenient for my cabin steward, who usually has enough assigned cabins to extend work into the afternoon.
