My 14 year old grandson has always been short.  I mean really short.  Hnever said he was bullied and I hope that was the case.  For some inexplicable reason he loved playing basketball as often as possible, even went to basketball summer camp and played after school, weekends.  In group pictures he was always the shortest boy.  We were all wondering what the next step would be when BOOM he had a growth spurt.  He's now a member of his HS Basketball Team.  Yes!!

It's always amazing when those growth spurts happen.  Congratulations on his making his HS Basketball Team!!🏀🏀🏀

We are doing Nachi Cocom in Cozumel.  We were looking at Maya Chan Beach in Costa Maya which looks real good but our cruise friends mentioned checking out the Ruins so we are doing our research.

Well, my vote is for Maya Chan.... I was there again yesterday, and I'm already booked for January.

Absolute Heaven!

Did they make any renovations or changes while they were closed?

I am happy to say I received my blood results today and my cholesterol numbers have improved by 20 to 30 points for various categories.     The Doc said last fall I was borderline of needing a statin with my numbers so she should be pleased to see my improvement with no meds.

If she tests me after the holidays and a cruise - forget it!!!

Excellent news Debbie.

I'm really pleased for you.

I’m behind again! I’m too old to be this busy!

I want to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving with your favorite food on your plate.
We have so much to be thankful for, even during our gloomiest days.
I’m so thankful to Dani for bringing us together as a global family!

Some of you may remember my 98 year old friend Ginny, who was always the life of any party. Then she tripped over her suitcase and broke her hip. Scans in the hospital showed masses throughout her body. She hated hospital food, refused to walk, yelled at everyone, and was visibly dwindling away.
She was moved to a rehab facility because she refused treatment for cancer. She was a total grouch, there, too.
Now she’s in assisted living and trying to figure how to go home to her 2 story townhouse.
Soooo, she turned 99 Saturday, and we threw her a surprise party.
I’m attaching a couple of photos.
Ginny is Ginny again, and we’re hoping we’ll be celebrating her 100th next year!

So with a full heart, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

In Costa Maya look at Native Choice, a private vendor.  We used them a whole back to go to Chacobben, I think that's the right spelling, and they were great.

@Ozark_Kid John - We used Native Choice to visit the Chacchoben ruins in 2018.  I wrote about it and posted some pictures in a review.  Click here and scroll down to post #61.  I'd recommend it.

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving Day.

I enjoyed watching the sun rise this morning as I sat quietly sat saying my prayers.

This daily  event  in life make me very appreciative for everything I am able to enjoy.

Simply saying,  all the lasting memories I have as well as what the future has in store for me.

Yes I know there will be more trying times and challenges to overcome.

But just being able to spend quiet time and reflect gives me peace.

To all, I wish you only the best that your live has to offer, and when times are rough, just know, I will always have you in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care.

And as I share once again my signature statement....

" . . . In life remember there is always something old to be sought and enjoyed, always something new to be found treasured and shared. . . Thank you for sharing your life with me. . . "

Enjoy the day

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate.

So our reduced size, Thanksgiving meal, with just our daughter and her family, just got a little smaller.  We were out for a walk yesterday when I started feeling off.  Trouble breathing, fever and chills.  Took a Covid test last night, and it was negative.  Fever and chills are gone this morning, but still don’t feel like myself.

I hate that Susan has to do all the prep work now, since I have decided to isolate today.  I don’t want to take a chance of passing something to my daughter or the grandkids.

Looks like I will be starting that new Robert Crais book today, instead of enjoying time with the family.

Happy Thanksgiving, and it’s officially Christmas season as the Husky tree is up.

So, every year since 2004 my Mom bought me a Washington Huskies Christmas ornament (graduated in 1987, hence the screen name).  She always loved seeing me put all the ornaments on the tree. Mom passed in February, and last week out of nowhere it hit me that I wouldn’t get a Husky ornament this year.  It was a gut shot emotional moment, one of those times that just hits you right in the heart.

Couple days later, I go to the mailbox…wow.

I had no idea…she must have had these on auto-order.  Thank you Mom…for a lifetime of love and everything else.

Sorry you are feeling cruddy. A lot of stuff out there with flu, colds and COVID. I’m now negative but still don’t feel all that great. I hope you can enjoy the day. Happy Thanksgiving.

This is an amazing story!  Cherish every one of those ornaments and the memories they’ll rekindle year after year.

Our Thanksgiving will see us doing another round of packing boxes for our move.  Drive to Florida tomorrow and of course rain is forecast all day so I wanted both cars packed today.  As well as a fully loaded pickup truck with stuff to take to the dump.  I’m thankful we are downsizing/decluttering!  Our Thanksgiving dinner will be that Pilgrim favorite, hamburgers…trying to clear out the fridge.

I’m planning to eat vicariously through food porn from you all so bring it on!
